Perfect for my tub shower unit. Getting older

Works fine. Better than expected. Was easy to install but OMG the directions were terrible. Obviously written by someone that did not speak English. FYI there is a machine screw that appears to not have a purpose .... keep it in one o the ends before you install the end cover. You will need it if you ever need to disassemble the seat. (It screws into the pegs that holds the seat to the base so that you can pull them out!)

This chair is perfect.It is very durable and was easy to mount. My mom loves it.

The anchors do not hold in a fiberglass shower wall. The poorly written instructions indicate that it's for installation in a brick wall only. I doubt you'll find many showers with brick walls. Additionally, the instructions are written in very poor English and leave a lot of the installation to guess work. No drill bit size provided for the anchor installation as well. Very poor product!

This seat unit is not wide enough to use safely because it does not span the typical 16” on center distance between studs in US homes. It’s only wide enough to screw into one stud, but that’s not enough to safely secure to a wall. To make the thing work, I had to mill a 20” wide piece of hickory, seal it with several coats of poly acrylic, then mount it to the wall first, and then mount the seat to the wood.

We purchased the Makidar Folding Shower Seat Bathroom Drop-Leaf Wall Stool (Orange) for our small shower space in our Skoolie Conversion. It is a perfect fit!

Upon receipt, I was impressed with the quality, it was missing one screw for the hinge but easily obtained at my local hardware store. The product is being installed tomorrow and the installer was really impressed with the quality. Can't wait to use it!
