Fantastic value! All 5 CDs remastered versions with bonus tracks
I have quite a few of these 5pk sets. The APP set is one of the best! These aren't just 5 dud albums they can't sell, they are all great. Some others I'd recommend in these 5pk sets are:-The Cars-Blue Oyster Cult-Stevie Ray Vaughn-Pantera-Jethro Tull-Robin TrowerBe aware that some of the artists with larger discographies have multiple sets. Sometimes there are slightly different import versions as well. Sometimes they are remastered, sometimes bonus tracks, both, neither. Usually by checking the reviews here on Amazon you can figure it out if it's not in the product info. I have a large collection of CDs and records and normally if I like an artist enough I'll seek out their entire catalog, atleast all of their studio albums, and these sets are an incredible value in most cases. Especially if you watch the prices.

Really good budget collection
5 really good albums + bonus tracks, and they might not be in jewel cases but it's worth it for the content alone. Even then, the paper sleeves are smaller reprints of the original vinyl sleeves, which is pretty cool.

A seemingly random collection of half of The Alan Parsons Project's re-mastered studio albums
I've been a fan of The Alan Parsons Project since my early teens. When I transitioned from vinyl to CD and then hard drive, however, I settled for a very nice greatest hits collection - The Definitive Alan Parsons - which I can highly recommend. Unfortunately, there are some real gems missing from that collection. Of course none of the extras from the re-releases are included either. Although this collection is billed as the original album classics, it actually consists of the re-mastered re-releases from a seemingly random collection of five of their studio albums. By contrast, the complete studio album collection consists of the original albums - not the re-mastered ones. Unfortunately, it's difficult to imagine any collection of albums that lacks Eye in the Sky, and I Robot and Ammonia Avenue are both more significant albums than Stereotomy or Gaudi. Therefore, I can't give the collection 5 stars. Still, it's well worth the price for Turn of a Friendly Card and Eve alone.

Truly the Best of The Project
I'll admit, I was initially taken aback at how small the package was and how small each of the cardboard cases were. But when I saw that these were the expanded albums, it was all worth it. I had already purchased Stereotomy, but I bought it in this set just for the "Rumour Goin' Round" demo. All the tracks are great, and I find myself using a lot of the music in my fanfiction. If you're looking for a feast of what the Alan Parsons Project has to offer, this is the set to buy!!!!!

Must hear
For anyone looking for a decent sample of great music this is a good start. You can't beat the value for this much content. App music will be just as listenable 50 years from now.

Try Them Again; Bet You'll Like Them
When I was young, I was a big progressive rock fan, and dismissed the Alan Parsons Project as Progressive Lite. Now that I'm not so young, I still like the flashy musical acrobatics of early Yes, but also appreciate the craftsmanship of the Alan Parsons Project. There's good music here, folks. And for the price, five good albums is a good bargain.
