Search for the perfect orthotic for my particular foot may be over
As an ex-runner with Plantar Fascitis, extra-wide feet, and severe pronation, finding a good orthotic for hiking, golf, yard shoes, etc has been a constant search for 2 decades (use bike shoe inserts for cycling). I've even had custom orthotics (total failure). Used one perfect product for over ten years until the manufacturer changed it in the '90s. I am sure I have purchased 20 different types and styles from 8 or more manufacturers, none of which worked as well as these. Finding just the right combination of arch support, anti-pronation design, light weight, and comfort had been impossible until now. I had found some "good enough, not great" orthotics, some of them here on Amazon. Usually purchased an 11-11.5 so that arch would be far enough forward. These popped up as a "suggestion" on my Amazon page based on past purchases. NOTE: The other Power Step products may be good for other individuals, but only these Power Step Pinnacle Max's appeared to have the profile I need, based on over 20 years of experience and experimentation. If I still ran, I would not expect these to hold up as running shoe inserts at my 185-190 weight. The pictures on Amazon appeared to show the necessary heel height and arch support. Thought I had ordered 11-11.5s, (probably my mistake) and received 10-10.5s. Turned out these are perfect. Did not even need trimming to fit in my EE New Balance golf shoes (look like NB running shoes). Walked 9 holes day before they arrived on "good enough" orthotics and my feet burned and were sore, and my ex-runner's knees ached. Played a round with these in the same shoes yesterday and my feet were comfortable the entire time and knees were fine. No burning sensation on the soles, no sore arch afterwards. The heel cup is elevated enough and designed well enough to deal with pronation issue, and the arch support was perfect, because I did not notice it. I can't say anything about longevity or use for my other activities yet, but will buy at least one more pair to put in yard boots, hiking boots, sneakers, traditional golf shoes, etc. Will update once I have sufficient "mileage" with this product with various activities. If they last a decent amount of time, I'll end up with this model in most of my shoes.

Durable & long-lasting
These are worth the price for sure. I weigh 160 lbs. & they have not crushed or changed shape. They support my arches excellently & I have repurchased them. I find a pair from 2016 still wearable !!

Quality and affordable
Fantastic for those of us with flat feet and over pronation. I paid $375 for custom orthodic a decade ago and wanted additional shoes to have similar support. Power Step makes a high quality product and now has so many different styles. The pinnacle Max has provided great arch support, as well as heel comfort. The cost is considerably less and allows me to add the supports to other shoes. Highly recommend and have used a version of power step for over 15 years now.

Recommended by my Orthopedic Dr.
After a tendon strain supporting my foot arch, my orthopedic doctor said from now on I needed to wear arch support insoles. Instead of directing me to spend hundreds on custom orthopedics from them, she highly recommended the Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx insoles. I am 6ft 6in and have a size 16 shoe, so I ordered the 16+ size which work great and are true to size. My doctor suggested these because the entire bottom is solid plastic and not soft, flexible material like many other popular brands. I liked these so much I quickly ordered a 2nd pair.

Awesome, Fantastic, Phenomenal
I rarely write reviews for products on Amazon (I should, I know), but this one truly changed my life. I started running a couple of years ago and am biomechanically challenged. One foot is flat and moderately overpronates, the other has a bit of an arch and severely pronates. After both stress fractures and tendinitis (which collectively kept me away from running for nearly 5 months), my sports med doc recommended custom orthotics. This wasn't a surprise...I had to wear them as a kid and not being all that athletic, figured I'd need special help with my feet for running. Long story short, after $435, 2 total reconfigs, and 8(!) adjustments over six months, I still had significant foot pain (forefoot burning, arch cramping, other pronation-related ankle pains, etc.) and my pedorthist just couldn't figure out what was wrong. The worst part was I was trying to train for a half marathon through all of this. After finishing the half, I started looking for another solution as my custom orthotics were just flat-out uncomfortable and I'd given up on ever getting them adjusted. I saw the rave reviews for the Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx and thought, why not. If they don't work...I can send them back. I couldn't believe when I pulled them out of the box, how they basically looked exactly like my custom orthotics - only with more arch support and not nearly the forefoot cushioning (too much of that in my customs - I believe - caused the foot burning while running). Most inserts I've seen (and bought...and tried) over the years have had really flexible arches, which are useless if you're flat-footed. These have a rigid arch, which is exactly what I need.I popped them into my Brooks Ravennas and I kid you not - I ran pain free for the first time in months. PAIN FREE. I was still having a little pulling on the right ankle, which I suspected was because I just so horribly pronate on that side, so I switched shoes to the Brooks Adrenaline and ran 6 pain and pull-free miles yesterday. I walk my dogs with these inserts, run with them, and I've felt better the last month than I have the last two years. For reference, I'm 5'4", 138 lbs., 39 years old. Usually run about 15 miles a week. No joke, these things changed my life. I am a happy runner again. :)
