Perfect for the beach!
These umbrellas were absolutely perfect! They can stand straight up or slant them in the sand to block the sun. Plenty of space, easy to put up. They have windows that zip up on the side to allow a nice breeze. They were durable and excellent for the beach!

Wonderful
This was a great purchase for the ball field and the beach alike. It does a wonderful job blocking the sun and we can fit 2 beack chairs and even regular size chairs in the shade it provides. The little pockets on the inside are perfect for phones, keys and even snacks. The windows are a great addition to let a little breeze blow through. Set up/take down is so simple my 7 year old can do it and it all fits nicely right back in the carry case. I opted for a "used" one that came in near perfect condition, couldn't even tell it had been used apart from one tiny little rub mark on the outer layer that does not effect usage at all. For the price I put this was an absolute steal.

The Superbrella is Super!
I LOVE this Superbrella!! As I've gotten older I don't like to sit in the sun for long periods of time. I bought a little chair umbrella that you attach to your beach chair, but it only cover my head and torso. When my friend was coming for a visit I bought a beach tent. Boy, how complicated to set that up. I sent it back. Then I discovered the Superbrella! It's perfect! It sets up just like an umbrella - super easy. I bought the extra larger tent pegs that everyone suggested. Super easy to screw into the sand. Nice and shady with little windows to ventilate. Both of us fit comfortably! Highly reccommend!

Not bad for the on sale price. Did not stay put at the beach. Needs to be on lawn or dirt ground.
I got this umbrella on big sale. ($36? I have to double check. Something like that.) Had I not got it on sale I might have thought it was not worth the price.Opens nicely. We used it on a sand beach. None of the stakes or any manner of trying to hold it down kept it from blowing away. We unzipped the windows for airflow and to try to help it not blow away. It blew away 4 times and there was not a strong wind. We even packed inner pockets with shoes and stuff. If I were to try to use it on the beach again I would not even attempt it without sand bags for weights. The carry bag has no durability. We took it to the local beach the one time, transported, used it, put it back in the bag, brought it home, and the fabric ripped on the end of the carry case while I was being super gentle trying to not rip the carry case. There wasn't anything different I could have done to be gentle on the case. So no for durability on the carry case. The umbrella - it blew away four times in a gentle wind and survived fine. I think if it was assembled with stakes in lawn or dirt it would maybe hold. If I use it again it will be in the yard or pile camp site camping. Again for the sale price I would think it was worth it for this use. But I would say it cannot be used on a beach. (There was so little wind! The stakes were in sand.) The umbrella itself is nice and I think many people would enjoy it. It remained intact despite the tumbles in the wind. I recommend this product IF you get it on sale and use on SOIL or DIRT surface to hold stakes.

Forget the tent, get this instead
We just purchased this umbrella to use at the beach with my new grandson. After looking at many different beach setups we decided this type of umbrella was the way to go and we are so happy we did. The umbrella is so easy to set up. You just pop it open and put it on the beach, It comes with lots of stakes but we just used the 4 large ones for sand and it was perfect. There are pockets you can fill with sand for added stability and the front being open still gives you the breeze. This is a much better value than those pricy tents too. I highly recommend.

Unable to return the defective product.
I tried to open up this gigantic sunshade upon the receipt, unfortunately, the red button struck at first trial and I wasn’t able to unfold it ever since.I contacted to the Amazon for return, and they confirmed boxless UPS pickup which didn’t happen for two business days. I contacted Amazon again and they ended up insisting me to box it in order for the return process. There is no way that I can box this defective gigantic umbrella without breaking the poles.Receiving the defective item put me in the very awkward situation, and I need to eat up the cost.I definitely do not recommend the item since you will be in the same situation when you receive a defective product.

This umbrella don’t move an inch !
Excellent umbrella …..my main concern was wind blowing it away and as long as you fill the pockets with sand, it’ll sit nice and snug where you want it….opening the windows offers a path for wind as well….The fabric is also very strong ….packing it up is easy cuz the umbrella condom is nice and big do you aren’t standing there trying to squish it all in 😀

Lightweight, Instant shade in a variety of configurations....
Looking back, I wish I had seen the review and recc for the Sport Brella. As the reviewer said, seems like a better version of this.Got this for the labor day beach weekend and glad I did. It was a welcome addition to our shade camp! It is super lightweight and thus easy to carry over your shoulder (though a bit cumbersome handling due to it's 55" length).Do yourself a huge favor and bring a rubber mallet or beachstake with you when setting this up at the beach. I used a mallet to pound the lower half of the pole into the wet sand which anchors it better than you trying to push it into the sand. On a no wind day the stakes aren't necessary, but any breeze over 3-5 mph and you MUST anchor this umbrella with the included stakes/tethers. The stakes are good quality metal vs. cheap plastic which seem to come with most other tents/shades. The stakes and lines can get in the way and you must be careful and warn others of their location so they don't walk into them or trip over them when the umbrella is upright. I didn't try this with the umbrella on its side like in the pictures, we used it straight up.People really complain about the friction lock lever that joins the umbrella to the base stake. I didn't have any problems with mine .My only gripe is one of the tether lines plastic clip broke. Other than that, happy with the purchase and performance of this product. BUT if I could do it over, I would opt for the SPORT BRELLA.
