A True Game Changer (And I'm Not Just Punning!)
As a long-time console and PC gamer, I've seen my fair share of storage solutions, but the WD_BLACK P10 5TB Game Drive is in a league of its own. It’s a tiny titan of storage, small enough to fit in my pocket yet holding enough games to make my digital library feel infinite. Setup was a breeze—truly plug-and-play on my PC and PS5, and it immediately recognized the extra space. Now I can download games without that familiar, sinking dread of having to delete something to make room. It's like having a digital vault for all my gaming obsessions. The read and write speeds are impressive, so I'm not stuck staring at loading screens for ages. It's fast, reliable, and frankly, a lifesaver for anyone who loves to hop between a dozen different titles. The only minor con is that its sleek, minimalist design makes it so discreet I sometimes have a hard time spotting it on my desk. It’s almost too portable—I'm a little worried I'll misplace it someday. But other than that, this drive really knocked it out of the park. It's definitely a solid storage solution. I'm over the moon with this purchase!

Really nice hard drive.
I wanted this external hard drive to replace my previous one.Its alittle bit more price wise, but im happy to pay the extra for it.The other brand of hard drive kept getting faulty, that I was using,so I decided to try this one .I found it easy to install,I wanted it to store my Xbox One games for use on Series X.So far im very happy with this hard drive and it runs great,is very quiet too.Looks really good connected to my Series X aswell. In future i think I will stick to this brand of external hard drives.

A very good cost effective large capacity external mechanical hard drive good for most gamers.
It has a decent capacity of about 7.5Tb and not the full 8Tb advertised(as a lot of space is used up for the file system on mechanical hard drives in general so you very rarely get the full capacity advertised) for the price and works very well with the PS4 PRO and on the whole has decent access speeds tho on occasion it does seem to be a bit slow. This is probably to do with the 10 second spin up time which does make loading a little slow at times during gaming. Tho game loading is fairly quick when you load up a game from the Home Screen. The drive does run quite warm during busy times when gaming so I would recommend that the drive is placed in a well ventilated place so as to allow heat to naturally dissipate and definitely ensure that the fan at the back of the drive has a clear path to expel the build up of heat. The drive is extremely easy to set up and is formatted for the PS4 very quickly. It is definitely worth the money tho it will run considerably slower than a solid state hard Drives as will all mechanical drives so there is a trade off between storage space and read, write, access times. Also if you choose a solid state hard drive you are currently limited to 2Tb and will very likely pay £200 or more and the faster the drive the more expensive they are generally. Also to really get the benefit of the speed of solid state hard drives you would need to replace the PS4 internal drive with a solid state hard Drive and then you have the problem of downloading the PS4 operating system on to the drive prior to or during replacement which can be very problematic. Hence why mechanical External hard Drives are very popular with the PS4 as generally the storage space of the internal hard drive is much smaller than required for most gamers, so external hard Drives are a almost a must have item as it allows you to have comprehensive access to many years of games overtime and not be forced into deleting and installing games which is very time consuming. Also the hard drives is not fully silent and you can hear it running faintly in the background especially during times when you are not gaming which is probably the downside of having a hard drive which spins faster than standard mechanical hard drives tho I think it is a trade off which is worth it in my opinion.

Good storage for value
5TB to save all your games is definitely great! The problem is that the games do not load very quickly. However, this is a HDD, so it makes sense that it would take longer to save. The HDD is very small and portable, especially for how much storage is on it, and I've had it fall before, with no damage resulting, so it's very durable. It's plug in and go, there's no need for any kind of installation of additional software, but do keep in mind that just like any other HDD, you want to make sure you keep up with maintenance on it, such as ensuring that partitions aren't interfering with it's speed.Overall, great HDD for casual storage, but despite the advertising, games run quite slow for me (Fallout 4, Sea of Thieves, Metro Last Light, Persona 5, and Skyrim are a few examples of games I'd play frequently. I don't play any of these with mods.) but overall, for the price and reliability, definitely worth purchasing. However, moving files from the HDD to an SSD? God, it goes at 30mb/s max, and that's from the beginning. It's a bit annoying, but alas, I make do.I've had this item for a while, and I won't be replacing it anytime soon.
