Love it
Honestly one of the most quality thing I've ever bought from Amazon. Blade is sharp, super lightweight but not like crappy steel. Brass back is straight and square with the handle. My only noticeable thing I would like to have had is more balance as the handle is really lightweight.

Good saw for the price
Works great for fine work. I replaced the handle with a pistol grip style.

Crown Gents Saw - Excellent Value in a Dovetail Saw
The Crown model 187L 10 inch Gents Saw is a terrific bargain for dovetailing and other detailed work with a hand saw.At 17 TPI, it is very easy to start the cut, tracks straight, leaves a smooth narrow kerf, and is comfortable in the hand. The saw is filed rip and has minimal set, making it ideally suited to dovetailing in stock less than half inchWhen you factor cost into the equation, it is very hard to beat the value and performance you get with the 10 inch Crown Gents saw. This 10 inch version allows for a longer cutting stroke and smoother sawing action. With proper care, this is a tool that will last most users a lifetime and offer stalwart service.Highly recommended!

Quality and sharpness
This saw does a pretty good job cutting dovetails, it’s not as sharp as I would liked, but overall the blade is straight and fairly sharp. Not bad for the price. I sharpen my own saw blades so not a problem for me to fine tune it.

Great Saw for the Money
I have a few higher priced dovetail saws that I use sparingly as I continue to learn traditional hand tool techniques. I picked this up as an inexpensive saw that I could practice with, and especially that I can practice sharpening on. But right out of the box, with no tuning or sharpening, I have found it to be accurate, smooth, quick cutting and to produce a nice thin kerf. In fact, I would say that this saw performs almost as well as my higher priced saws. But I guess that only proves that it is often more about the sawyer than it is the saw! I would not hesitate to recommend this saw.

Good inexpensive saw
I would have to agree with the majority in that I do find pistol grip saws to be more comfortable. With that said this is a comfortable saw to hold and use. I actually previously purchased the 8" model. I liked it so much I purchased the 10" model. I have a few boutique that I like, but hardly use because I'm clumsy. I once dropped on and cracked the horn of the handle. For this reason I only use boutique saws on very precious projects. The saw may have been slightly crocked upon arrival. I gave the brass back a few firm taps on a table and this seemed to remedy the issue. I then made a few test cuts on a scrap piece of white oak. It was a little under 3/4" in thickness. Lines were scribed on both sides of the board to check for accuracy. The saw cut nicely along the side of my scribed lines very evenly. I personally found the performance of the saw to be acceptable out of the box. With that said people have lots varying opinions on the optimal sharpness of hand tools. This saw can easily be honed to your personal preference.
