Can this fan run 24-hrs/7-days a week, or should it be powered down daily?

Mine has been. Fan airflow keeps it cool. I really don't see a problem. The little speed control module doesn't even get warm. Hope this helps.

By nature of design the fan unit would take some light splashes without incident but the unit isn't designed to be waterproof and likely wouldn't do too well in a wet environment.

What’s the highest temp they can operate on. Possibly trying to use this to make my fireplace more efficient by having dispense heat from fire?

I can’t say for sure what temperature it can withstand, I bought it for my RV refrigerator. I was in the desert 113° out with heat coming off the refrigerators probably around 200°. Hope this helps.
