Yarn Ball Winder, Hand-Operated Yarn Ball Winder Swift Yarn Winder

My mother had a slightly older model of this for years until she lost it a ew months ago. We found this replacement and it is just as good! For those who do a lot of yarn crafts or knitting and crochet this is a must have. Tangled remnants of old skeins of yarn are easily wound up quickly. We even use it to wind brand new skeins since sometimes it’s better and easier to use rather than the way some stores sell them. Really this is a life saver and a tool you don’t want to be without!

Had to return my first one because it stopped spinning. But they made the return and replacement easy. Only suggestion is don't try and spin heavy yarn and make sure their is done give as your spinning or it will start grinding and ruins the mechanism fairly quickly. Also had to use a couple hair bands to keep yarn from flying of while spinning. But once you get the hang of it works perfect, especially for the price! Very happy with company and product and my yarn shelf!

It is great, lightweight, easy to use, pretty sturdy, but does squeak when you use it (that is the only negative part of it I have found but I am pretty sure I can oil it somehow).

Not sure why people gave this anything less than a four star. This is a must need for those who don’t want the hassle of trying to figure out where the centerpiece yarn is and the hassles that come with the yarn and its original state. Once I figured out the correct position of the metal yarn thread piece, everything fell into place. And it makes nice yarn cakes. I can find the yarn centerpiece and the outside piece as well. It helps with organizing the leftover yarn instead of just having piles of scrap yarn. The only thing I really don’t like about it but it’s not going to affect my five stars, I wish the plastic yarn holder was more narrower .

I had a beautiful wooden one that made a mess of things. I sent it back and got this one. It is awesome. Makes perfect gorgeous cakes every time. I could not be more pleased. I highly recommend it.

Easy to use

It gets the job done but slower than the one I had, which was a Royal. This one looked just like it and I thought I was getting the same item but it is not. I am guessing that this one is a universal unbranded one made cheaper for the price. This one is clunky, somewhat jerky, and harder on turning to wind the yarn. A bit disappointed. Not happy with the way the yarn is wound when it comes off either. The Royal I had I have had for 20 years now, well built, smooth, wound nicely.
