Ok let me start by saying I was extremely hesitant in buying this device with the negative reviews. However, I had rhinoplasty surgery in 2021 to fix a pretty significant hump on my nose- and of course, with surgery comes a year of swelling. But I noticed I was feeling very winded, exhausted, and like I was breathing through coffee straws. I told myself it was internal swelling and maybe removing the big hump on my nose changed how large my nasal cavity was (idk I’m not a doctor).But so finally I went to one. The ENT I saw said that one nostril did have an obstruction but it was likely caused by allergies and swelling and recommended a steroid nasal spray for allergies. After about 5 months of using this, my nose is bleeding. Now I reallllllly can’t breathe because my mucus is all bloody and scabby and I can’t get it out.In tears, I didn’t know what else to do. Surgery was my only other option. I was out of breath, tired constantly, MOUTH BREATHING, blowing my nose 3-4x a day in desperate attempts to clear a blockage.And then I saw this thing. I said no way is that gonna work. But I’m desperate so I tried it anyway.WOULDNT YOU KNOW IT- I CAN BREATHE.One use of this device and I instantly felt relief in my swollen nostrils. I’ve been using it 1-2x per day for over a week now and I can honestly say it’s working for me. I go to bed and can breathe.Now idk if it will work for everyone. My issue was tissue swelling causing obstructions in my breathing. But I’m genuinely so glad I tried this.

My first few uses of the device was positive. It seemed to relieve my breathing issues somewhat. Not as well as I would like but enough to encourage me to keep on trying. And so I did. And then I got one of those Eustachian tube blockages that go on and off affecting how I hear myself talk. The blockage irritatingly affects my conversations and is very distracting to me.I had been waiting for this problem to occur to see if the device could relieve it. IT DID NOT!I tried it multiple times during the day but it never cleared my Eustachian tube.I decided to return it but found out that I missed the return window by a few days. So disappointed!

I think this does an OK job of clearing my sinuses when they are congested. The problem is that the device has a limited time battery and no way to replace it. I am sure the company COULD do that, but they would rather charge you $64.95 to buy a whole new device every six months. They say that they you can send the device back once battery dies, and they will recycle it and will give you a 25% discount on your next purchase, BUT BUT BUT they do not provide any postage to do that. For me to send the device back was going to be $7, plus finding and preparing appropriate packaging, plus the time of taking it to the post office or UPS, and with all of those costs to mail it back, ultimately the 25% discount is actually only like 10%. Plus, to get the "discount" you can't reorder through Amazon, you have to go through their website which the cheapest shipping added another $10+ to the cost. So ultimately, by sending back your device to recycle it and using their "discount," you will pay approximately $3 more than if you just throw away the dead device and order another one through Amazon Prime with free shipping. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, especially when it seems to me that the "recycling" they are doing is probably pulling the device apart, putting in a new battery, and re-selling it.

The SinuSonic has an end-of-life timer that deactives the device after 6 months regardless of the amount of use. The device will then only emit a 3-note tone. You could reset this timer on previous models by removing or replacing its internal AA batteries. Newer models retain the end-of-life timer in flash memory so changing the batteries won't reset anything. However, you can erase the timer memory and re-start the 6-month cycle by following the simple directions below.1. Remove the top cap by carefully prying up the plastic retaining tabs at the base of the cap and it will pop right off. Don't lose the metal ball directly beneath it.2. Starting at the top, use a small screw driver to separate the seam. Pry in on the half that has the tab holders to avoid breaking as many as possible.3. Remove and replace the 3 AA batteries. Press start button at the center of the circuit board. You should hear the same 3-note end-of-life tone.4. Put one battery in backwards and press the start push button at the center of the circuit board for a few seconds. Then put the battery in the correct direction and press the start button again. You should hear a normal continuous tone. If you don't, try the process again.5. Reassemble the unit, making sure to put back the metal ball which adds resistance when exhaling.
