BEST, hands down, thermal performance of ANY consumer grade thermal container.
I am so thankful, someone in China continues to operate a glass-blowing, vacuum machine to make these one litre liquid containers. Hot beverage of your choice, will last all day - depending on how often the top is opened. The easy pour lip is a small improvement added just in the last decade. Yes, eventually, micro cracks develop in the glass from the thermal expansion/contraction with constant use, and the slightest shock will cause it to break. It is in essence, a consumable item, so I purchase multiples at a time. Still, for the time it lasts, to have this level of thermal performance is heavenly.

Very delicate not for traveling
I ordered one and it arrived scattered. I was given a credit and bought another one. While it lasted it was great kept my coffee hot from night til morning. Unfortunately it shatterd in my lunch bag. It ruined everything I even had to buy a new lunch bag because the glass bust into tiny sharp pieces. I would live to get another one but already had one arrived broken and the other one broke shattered after 2 weeks.

Great thermos
Glass is so much better than metal. Piping hot 20 hours later is great in my book, 24 hours for cold, you just can't beat that.I would recommend this Great thermos.

Glass lined thermal bottle with spout
Finally I found a glass lined thermos to replace the one that broke when it fell. I would have tried to replace the liner, but the handle broke so the outside was destroyed too. The old one survived lots of falls and tips while traveling over the years, but this time, it fell from the countertop to the tile floor in our moving motorhome. Finding a similar thermos was not an easy task since most thermal containers today are either plastic or metal and I have never found any of them to really keep coffee hot for very long. So far, this one is good. I like the pouring spout, a feature our old one did not have. I am glad the spout is on the edge of the bottle and not within the lid too. The lnside lid, does seem thinner and a little lighter duty than older models and I think there is more heat loss than with the old one. It is also a bit more difficult to grip to screw and unscrew because the edge thickness is thinner. Overall, I am happy with it and relieved I did not have to resort to something other than glass lined.

Lukewarm after 17 hours
I wanted a glass lined thermos to take to work with me for coffee when I am a little sleepy. This is a glass lined thermos that works for what I needed and keeps my coffee toasty for 2-3 hours that I can testify to from experience. According to the description it should keep your hot beverages hot for 20 hours. I had about 2/3 left recently and had only opened the thermos once to pour one cup of hot coffee. I left the thermos in my truck until the next day or actually 16 hours from pouring that cup and 17 since brewing. The temperature got down to 40 degrees Fahrenheit overnight. My poured cup was lukewarm. Not even close to hot. Now I'm curious about how long it might actually stay hot. I'm thinking maybe 10 hours which if you think about it that would be perfect for say a trip while driving. I can easily get 4 cups of coffee in it with room to spare and it's leak proof. When you pour out a cup some residual liquid remains on the inside lip and that will leak out unless you wipe it first. The pour spout is a nice touch. The only thing that would make this thermos really shine would be a insulated cup for the top to keep that hot beverage hot longer. The plastic cup does not hold heat. You have to drink it quickly or gets cold quickly. So much for a leisurely cuppa. It's worth the price but bring your own cup unless you just want to have a dose of alert like me. It's easily cleaned and I recommend a bottle brush used gentlyUpdate: tried a cup from the thermos that was freshly brewed about 6 hours after filling to the brim. Not hot. Very disappointing. It was warm but should have been much hotter.

Not my father's Thermos, and not even close!
Terrible! It broke the first day - glass shattered and it leaked just from rolling around in the van. Lesson learned. Cheap plastic is no replacement for stainless steel. How easy would it have been to have styrofoam between the plastic and glass? And the cup is tiny and flimsy. Stupid design.
