Great replacement fan
This works so well, and it's very quiet. It was very easy to put in using the existing plate (very old fan)

Revived my bathroom vent
Fit perfectly into housing and worked without a hitch. The bathroom fan is now as quiet as it was when new 26 years ago. Easy job, well worth the cost.

Super easy to install and very quiet
This works great and was super easy to install. So much quieter than my 20 year old one. All I needed to do was unscrew two bolts, pull the old motor out and put this one in. The replacement took 5 minutes total.

Solid for the price! Would buy again.
Easy replacement. Would be 5 stars if it didn’t click a little, assuming the fan is hitting something but it’s not TOO noticeable. Huge improvement over the old motor that you could hear at the other end of the house!

Works great. Very quiet motor.
A friend installed this replacement motor in my bathroom exhaust. He said it was extremely simple to install. It works great! I wondered if this "universal" type motor would work and it definitely did. It's so quiet you hardly hear it running and I've actually set a timer to remember to turn it off.

Perfect fit at an exceptional price
Our bathroom exhaust fan had been whining for several months. Not knowing anything about bathroom exhaust fans, mom got tired of it and bought a new exhaust fan from the local chain hardware store.Brought it home to my dad and proceeded to beg him to replace the fan.Our house isn’t that old, was built in the 1980’s. As luck would have it, exhaust fan boxes of today and the exhaust fan boxes of the 80’s are NOT the same size.Replacing the entire exhaust fan box was a lot more work than the hardware store salesman led her to believe. And my dad was having no part of it!Upon further examination of the existing fan, my dad was able to loosen two mounting bolts, turn the mounting bracket a bit, unplug the plug from the power inside the fan housing and had the whole motor in his hand! After returning the complete new replacement exhaust fan, I went with dad and we were able to find 1 similar motor locally but its price tag was outrageous and it wasn’t an exact match. This fan motor is an exact fit replacement of what was in our fan. So much, that I was able to install the replacement motor with some guidance from dad. The mounting screws match perfectly with the mounting bracket that is in our fan. It is the same RPM and has the exact same blade. It was as simple as attaching the motor to the mounting bracket, reinserting the mounting bracket under the bracket screws and tightening them down and plugging in the power and finishing reassembly. When turned on, it is almost silent compared to what our fan sounded like before it started whining. And as for cost, we purchased it on Amazon for less than 1/4 of the local retail and it’s a perfect match. Only thing that could have been better would have been to have an Amazon store to pick it up on demand. But what’s a day or two wait with Prime when you have heard it whine this long to get the perfect part at an exceptional price!

Great replacement motors w/ fans
Second order of same fans, ordered 3 the first time and have used 2 of them. Very easy to replace old one that failed. Motor performance appears to be as good as original one. I replaced one of the motors about 3 years ago in the laundry room and it’s still running strong. Ordered 2 more for future backups.

Okay for the price
I used it to replace the motor of a Broan 688-K.It is a lot quieter than the original motor (.3 vs .9Amps), but not the quietest fan out there, and not the easiest job. Probably not so quiet because the fan blades are imbalanced, which adds a lot of vibration. I also had to disassemble it to reverse the rotor: it was blowing air downwards, not to the sides towards the air duct, and although it’s the right fit for the vent model I have, the securing screws were in reverse to this model, so there were 2 reasons to disassemble the motor (It’s easy though).Overall, the motor quality seems good.If you are handy and know how to do these things, it’s a cheap way to get things done, otherwise, buy an OEM part. It’s $20 more, but these things usually last decades.
