Was a direct replacement for my gss23gskkcss and wasn't too difficult to replace. Followed some other videos out there on youtube and was just careful to remove and replace everything in the same exact order. So far so good, fan has been working great and fridge is maintaining 0- 36 24/7 again so very happy I didn't have to buy a new fridge. Hoping this one lasts many years as the fridge is only 6 years old so quite a bummer that the OEM one broke so early in its life. If your handy, you too can do this job. I figured if this works, I was only out a few bucks and happy to have my fridge in working order. While it was cooling, it was not freezing stuff around the door and the fridge was on the warm side. The broken fan was not spinning at all.Just a quick update: 3 Months later so far so good!

Yep, it fits perfectly. The harness was a bit hard to push on, but did have a positive snap when it was engaged. This is my second replacement of this particular part in my fridge. To be fair, it is not the same seller as 4 years ago, but the picture, and the label on the part are identical. Either way, the price, last time 16.86, this time 17.77, beyond beats the OEM part price of 159.90. Could replace many times over for that cost.The part itself was easy to install, just be patient and remove everything starting with the ice maker and work your way down. Yes you can get away without removing a few parts, but it is much faster, and many less swear words, if you do. If you are broad shouldered like I am, you may want to employ the assistance of a kid at times if you can. It is also a good learning experience for them! Teach them how to repair young, and groom a better adult.All in all a great value for what it is.

I bought this motor based on a YouTube video and then searched the part for GE Profile PSS26MSWASS which turned up a different motor. I also ordered the other model.It turned out this one fits. Almost like OEM except that the connector is very hard to push in. I examined the pins inside the connector closely and found that they are slightly larger than the original. I don't want to return it and also I need to get the fridge working ASAP, so I used a small screw driver to slightly enlarge the holes on the female connector on the fridge. Then I used some force to push it in, and it finally clicked.It is inexpensive and hopefully it can last a few years.

I had a problem with my ge side by side refrigerator where the power to the entire unit was cycling on and off. You’d hear a relay click then the power would shut off, then after some random amount of time it would come back on again for a few min.After extensive troubleshooting, I found the evaporator fan was shorting out and causing the main circuit board to power off. Unplugging the j2 connector made it work, but then I lost power to the condenser fan also.I then purchased a different brand fan than this one and found the hard way that it was in fact dead as well and wasn’t spinning. At least this time it wasn’t shorting and causing the entire unit to power cycle.I decided to give it one more shot with this brand and it spun up instantly. I do hear a slight speed ramping noise if I listen closely, but not sure if that’s the fan out of balance or inconsistent power being provided. Either way, I’m happy with this motor and it fixed my dead refrigerator. Given an oem part at a local repair shop was going for $220, I was happy to wait a day for this to arrive (try 2) to give it a shot, and it paid off.If you have a dc evaporator fan on your ge fridge not working, try this one.

Fits as it should plug tight

Bought this motor for my fridge the fan wasn’t running when the door was open or closed. I installled the fan motor took me about 1.5-2 hrs. After install plugged in the fridge and immediately started. Many review say it makes noise but mine runs smooth just like the oem one. Even if it takes 4 years to replace I feel that the price beats the oem part. Just becuase GE wanted 120 dollars for this part that broke in 10 years. Only time will tell how long it last. It seems good quality.
