This does not fit an L&L kiln. Not that I was 100% sure it would, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I'd only buy it if you have a Skutt kiln.

Cast in a different mould?

Perhaps the mould used is a different version, but these are not the same. A slight larger and do not fit into the original peep holes. Though still tapered, they fit loosely and easily are tapped out of place if accidentally brushed while loading the kiln

Perfect fit mandatory kiln peephole plug.

Perfect fit in 10 year old kiln. If you drop one plug, firing the kiln is over. This saved the kiln.
