I took a punt on the GXT 258 Fyru microphone as I’ve not found any reviews for it online. This review I’m writing is the only one at the time of writing this. The Fyru came well packaged and the mic has a good heavy, solid feel to it. It looks like the mic will come out of the metal shroud (around the bottom half of the mic) but it’s firmly fixed inside it. The stand is the only bit you can remove from it. The mic comes connects to your pc via usb connector which was one of the selling points for me as usb type b connectors deteriorate quickly in my experience so wanted to avoid that problem.The Fyru is easy to set up on PC and PS4 because it’s plug in and play. I noticed more background hum when connected to the PC and discovered that was because windows 10 randomly decided to increase the gain the mic at its own volition. I would recommend reducing this down on the sound settings and use the gain dial on the mic for better control. Sound quality is very good from a distance and has nice lows when up close. It has a built in pop filter but I would recommend adding an external one onto this as it will pick up on pops without it.The Fyru comes with some nice additional features such as LED’s which let you pick the colour with a button on the base of the mic. I especially like the 4 lights on the top as they indicate which direction the mic is listening which is a really handy visual aid. The stand is solid and heavy but lacks any decent tilt so I would recommend replacing this as soon as you can. The 2 dials on the front are plastic and feel a little wobbly, one of them feels tighter to rotate than the other and the mute button makes a loud click which can be heard by the mic even when it’s gain is at the lowest setting. I would say the dials are the worst feature on the mic which is a shame given the quality of everything else.I bought this mainly for gaming as I wanted something of good quality. I was fed up of buying expensive gaming headsets with poor build and sound quality. Now I can use this mic along with any headphone or earphones of my choice, wireless or wired. Overall I would say this is worth the price and would highly recommend this product.

Has horrible gain and has been slowly getting worse over time, however really cool! Works great in most scenarios

i love this mic, makes you sound funny when you get close and when you are far you sound pretty decent iv had it for a few years now and its been working fine, some minor issues with power consumption and interference and tends to disconnect when turning on your pc or plugging in a usb into your pc. apart from that its pretty good for 17 pound

The microphone itself is very good. The physical quality (to the touch and to the eye) makes it feel like a premium mic, but at a fraction of the cost.The sound quality the mic provides is high - I have had a lot of comments about how clear my voice sounds using this mic as compared to my previous headset-mic. The mic also seems to pick sound up very well from around the room - so you do not have to have it right in front of your face for it to detect sound clearly.The functionality of the mic is also excellent - being able to adjust the outbound sound-level of the mic manually, and being able to connect headphones to it, and adjust the volume of those headphones - all on the mic itself - are all excellent functions.Unfortunately, within less than a week of the product arriving, the USB-C cable provided with it has stopped working correctly. It seems as if there is a poor/broken connection somewhere within the cable, as the mic would connect/disconnect randomly, and this would become more frequent if the cable was moved. I have since swapped to a different USB-C cable and the mic instantly worked. I swapped back to the old cable to check again, in case it was a different issue, and the cable provided with the mic was still not working. I have cleaned the connections, and the issue has remained. Disappointing that such a good product has seemingly shipped with a sub-par cable.I would still recommend the mic itself and do not think the issue I have experienced should put anyone off buying this product - but just beware you could need a spare cable to hand!

Works great! My voice is clear when streaming and it looks cool with subtle RGB lighting it has. It seems to be built very well with an all metal design, and a real bargain for the price I got it for, which was under £20! I doth think you well find anything better for that price.
