Another great tool from Condor
High-quality sheath, yes it needs a little conditioning, I use 2 coats of Ballistol. The knife design works very well as a hunting camp knife. The convex blade is a great chopper and batoning. It's quick and easy to put a razor-sharp edge on it. I questioned the convex blade on my first condor pack golok but grew to love it, Great chopper and simple to re-edge. Condor knives and Machetties are made to be used, not a pretty shiny bobble to hang on your belt. Also, these blades are high carbon and will rust so wipe them down after use and apply a light oil.

Nice knife.
I have been buying Condor knives for years. The value is good. The quality is good. The knife handle on this one is kinda blocky. Condor sheaths are high quality. I love the high carbon steal they use.

The Devil Is In The Detail
Let's start by saying that including tax, this is a $100 knife. This is not a cheap knife, to put it into context it is pretty much the price of a 6" Wusthoff professional kitchen knife, one of the best in the world. The KnifeMaterials: 1095 High-Carbon steel. - A cheap, yet solid steel, proven, nothing fancy, an old steel that is relatively hard to sharpen, but once you do it will keep the edge.Brass pins to hold the handle scales in place (the copper wire is just mere decoration)Dark Walnut handle. - Mine came with beautiful wood, I was lucky the grain is rather attractive.Leather sheath. - Very sturdy, with some decorations to go along with the primitive nature of the knife. So, solid materials, nothing incredible but solid and reliable.PROS:Solid materialsThe knife is well balanced between the blade and the handleExcellent looks (very primitive, aggressive, rustic and original)Good looking sheathCould be comfortable to handleWell designedCONS:Horrid finishing, brass pins that protrude for 1.5mm, which creates hot spots and actually cuts into your skin.Spine protrudes from the handle, which also creates hot spotsThe wood has been "crafted in a rush" and has scratches and misalignmentsSignificant and visible glue residue on the handle where it joins the bladeThere are six strings of copper wire on the top end of the handle instead of sevenThe laser engraved "Condor" logo is slightly tilted and therefore misaligned with the knife's spineNot sharp from factoryConvex grindTotal and complete lack of attention to detail when it comes to the finishingSUMMARYIs this a good knife? depend for what? to be put into exhibition, yes! amazing, bushcraft? - No. Survival? - No. Processing food? Yes, maybe. This knife, given all the cons, should not be priced at $100, I would put this knife significantly below their version "Bisonte" which trades at $90, so a much more accurate price would be at around $70-$75.I am a collector so I keep it in exhibition, but if I wasnt a collector, this would have been promptly returned. I would say this is a "No buy" for any practical purposes and use.

Excelente
