It Really Works!!
I searched, it seems, forever to find a solution for our 3yo 70 lb. Lab to get up on our very high bed without continually lifting her and straining our (well, mine!) backs. I chose this one because of the positive reviews, gradual and sturdy incline, flat platform at the top and affordability. My husband put it together with ease in less than an hour...it is heavy, so I knew that I wouldn't be moving it around. We put this on one side of the bed, leaving about a 12" space to the wall which made it less scary for her without a railing. I stood in that space to train so she would come up to me while being reassured but staying very close to her either petting her, tapping the ramp with treats on it to coax her before moving a little further so she'd do it on her own. Our girl was skeptical, for sure, at first but with a calming voice, lots of praise and either chicken or beef to coax and reward her (she gets that anyway), she made progressive baby steps as she tested it. It took only a few days! I let her go as far as she was comfortable each time and didn't force her. Just praise and treats! Then repeat same thing several hours later. For the next couple of days, I still had to use some treats but less of them as she went up the ramp on her own a little further each time. Then, total SUCCESS!! And, tons of praise when she was on the bed! She doesn't even go all the way to the flat platform at the top of the ramp...just far enough where she can climb up onto the bed with ease. It hasn't been long and she goes up this (and sometimes down it if she doesn't jump off the bed) all by herself without either of us even being in the room many times a day. The width is good although I feel like it could be maybe several inches wider, but it's working. I think the proximity to the wall aids in sort of a visual railing. I read about "slippery carpet" and can see why some feel that it is an issue. So far, our girl isn't experiencing that but I think, in time, it could be something that we may have to address. It is rather thin. I didn't want to add/introduce something different to it at this point when it's working as is. And, maybe it won't be an issue. If it becomes one, we can easily remedy it and it wasn't a deal breaker. We keep her nails trimmed once a month so I think that will help that she won't snag it or tear it in anyway. We are both very happy with this product and I just figured that the initial cost is well worth it if it protects her from any injuries and us as well. She is a happy pup and loves snoozing on our bed with a big window for her to look out while she's on it. I wasn't happy about having a ramp in our room, but where it is located, it is unobtrusive and I can easily slide it over on our wood floors (it could easily be moved on carpet/rug as well) to either make the bed or change sheets. I looked heavily into a folding ramp, but decided that that, too, would be heavy and cumbersome defeating the purpose of straining our back. Love this so far and highly recommend!

Sturdy, don't give up training your fur baby to use it
My senior dog uses this daily. It was a struggle to get him to because I had been lifting him onto the bed for a long time. Once he got it he still wants to be helped up, but if I don't, he will go to the ramp. It is not foldable, and there is no adjustment for height. It does have a carpet on the ramp for traction, and my adult son who is 6'3 walks up it and all of my dogs are 70lbs plus so very sturdy. It is large, it's 3/4 the width of my king size bed. There are no side rails but I have it at the foot of the bed and the wall is on the other side only 6 inches away,he feels safe going up the ramp as he is a little wobbly at times.

With a GRATEFUL Heart
This was an Absolutely BLESSING for our Fur Family! My pup has short legs and managed to hurt himself trying to get on our bed. As soon as that happened I got on here found the reviews and purchased it immediately. It's Very Well Used!!!

Good ramp
It's a great ramp. The only thing I would say bad about it is it's a little unstable when my dog walks up it.

Easy to set up, dog and owner approved
This makes it so nice for my dogs to come snuggle in bed with me and I don’t worry about their hips and joints as much now.

Very sturdy and the surface carpet allows for sure footing.
This ramp requires some assembly, but I was able to do it just fine by myself (little old lady in her 70's). I recommend that you keep a picture of the finished product in your head while you do it because the illustrations in the instruction does not clearly show the orientation of the parts you are putting together. Tools you need are included in the package. That being said, once put together, it is very sturdy and stable. When pushed against the bed, it is even more stable. The carpet surface gives a good grip for my dog's paws and she has no problems scampering up/down while recovering from her TPLO surgery. She is a 60 lb mix breed with slightly short legs and she already uses a ramp to get in/out of the car so she did not have to learn to use it. A dog not having used a ramp before may need a little training.

Don't forget to buy something to give it traction or don't buy it at all
I bought this because it was the least steep ramp I could find even though I didn't care for the lack of height adjustments. My dog is fourteen years old and can't always jump on and off of things. It's good in the aspects of being sturdy, but there is zero traction with the fabric used. You will need to either buy some grip tape or a yoga mat to put on top of this. Without it, it's not very functional because my dog can't even walk up it; he just slides right down. It seems like a bit of a waste for the price of this and I'm past my return window.

Love it
Very good ramp, purchased because I have small dogs, want to protect their back and legs. Showed them how to go up and down multiple times and used treats and praise to help encourage them. Now they use it all the time. Would definitely recommend.
