We bought this to travel to England with our 2.5 year old. This worked perfectly because she has a monitor and sound machine that always need to be plugged in in her room but she also needs a nightlight. We were a little worried the nightlight function wouldn’t be bright enough but it was plenty bright. It has three settings and we routinely used the middle or low brightness setting. Well worth it!

This UK-style nightlight is very versatile -- it is a light as well as a plug adapter for US-style electrical power plugs. The light has three levels for easy adjustment to the room conditions. The only problem is that UK hotel rooms do not have electrical outlets in the bathroom, and most of our hotel rooms did not have an extra plug near the room entrance. Most hotel rooms in the UK only have electrical outlets near the bedside, where this light would be too bright. Perhaps someone else can answer whether the light can also be turned OFF.
