Aremco Pyro-Putty 1000 Aluminum & Ceramic Filled Paste Automotive High-Heat Repair Putty

Used this product to rebuild the heavily corroded internal exhaust chamber on my Yamaha f225 powerhead. Needed something specific for aluminum and high heat tolerance. Otherwise a new engine. Was able to shape and form after 24hrsHolding up so far after 25 hours of operationOnly issue is it took several days to cure enough to where I felt good about it. Was not able to heat cure it at the 220deg as suggested with exception of using a heat gun on UTCLEAN YOUR SURFACE, CLEAN IT

I have a Volvo AQ131A engine in my boat. The number 4 exhaust port on the aluminium heads have a history of being ate out by salt water. Historically, people had to replace the head or get it welded up and re-ported incurring a fairly expensive and time consuming expense. I used this product as directed to fix the exhaust port after cleaning the affected and fairly large corroded area with a dremmel tool. It has held up to the heat from the exhaust valve beautifully. It bonds to the aluminium beautifully, appears to be harder than aluminium and can withstand temps 180 degrees hotter than aluminium. I have put approx 35 hours on my boat and feel extremely confident that it will be a long time (if ever) before I have to worry about it again. I've written very few reviews in my time but thought this product was worthy of commenting on. I wouldn't be afraid to try ANY of the Pyro Putty products after my experience with this one. This stuff really works as advertised and saved me a bunch of money!

Don't completely understand the instructions pertaining to gassing.
