Melissa & DougMagnetic Wooden Fishing Game

I bought this for my 3 year old son who likes to play with toys that require concentration (eg. threading bobbins and putting money in a money box).He had lots of toys Christmas day and this was the one he kept coming back to. A firm favourite. Its chunky, brightly coloured - lovely to look at- and tactile. Although there are smaller pieces they seem to stay together and so does the fishing "pole". He realy enjoys it and he tells me all the names of the creatures as he plays. The only word of caution is I think there is a slight weakness to the sides of the puzzle as it is bare plywood here. So watch out for water, the sides are a bit soft as I found out as I tried to get the plastic off and my sissors scored the edges easily. Normal play etc should not affect the durability of the toy.

I bought this for my daughter 18 months and she loves it ,spent a long time picking up fish etc . Great for hand eye coordination , colour recognition and counting. We took it on holiday and whilst waiting at airport played fishing to pass the time, and it doesn't take up much room. I took along a tub with lid to keep the fish in once they were " caught" .

We have a few of these puzzles from Melissa and Doug and my kid loves them. The pieces fit nicely and its very fun to have a little fishing rod to get them out. The magnet holds the pieces good enough for him to get them off without just falling off.The rod isn't too heavy for him to handle but the only thing about it is that kids like to get wild from time to time and its very easy to swing around and bonk him in the head. The magnet side is pretty solid so it can hurt...so just beware of that.Other than that, there is nothing bad to say.

A good chunky, magnetic puzzle set from Melissa and Doug. It gives my 2 year old a sense of pride when he manages to solve the puzzle. Also he loves the fishing line and keeps singing the famous poem 'one two three four five once I caught a fish alive'. Easy to maintain, sturdy, durable, colorful toy that helps in developing cognitive skills. If your baby likes magnets, I would definately recommend to go for this product.

it helps to improve baby's hand skill. he can play 10mins everyday.

Keeps my 18 month old engaged for a long time. Highly recommend this magnetic puzzle. I think it’s suitable for 1.5 to 2 years old.
