I'm a honey lover, and the more I read about its benefits, the more I love it. But in reading about the benefits of honey, I learned that not all honeys are created equal. The clear stuff you buy in the grocery store? Yeah, it's very little "honey" by the time it's bottled. I didn't know that, but I learned through research. By the same token, I learned that real raw honey contains all kinds of wonderful goodness for your body, with such surprising benefits as improving resistance to allergies (dependent, however, on the flowers from which the bees forage) and boosting immunity.In truth though, all that is neither here nor there. I chose this honey for two reasons: I wanted a sugary snack to replace a candy bar (and believe me, a spoonful is sweet enough to do just that), and I wanted something that tasted truly wonderful. This is, without a doubt, the best tasting honey I've ever had. It is so unbelievably good, I wanted to go back for ten more spoonfuls. I have always enjoyed honey, including bites with the actual honeycomb, but honestly, Y.S.'s honey just beats anything I've ever tried before.I put it in my Matcha green tea for a wonderfully sweet layer of flavor, or I eat a spoonful to satisfy a craving. It's a taste that lingers, too, unlike the quick fix from a candy bar that leaves you wanting another. I can still taste the last spoonful I had a half hour ago.You cannot pour this kind of honey--you must spoon it. It has an appearance/texture of congealed bacon grease (but don't worry, it's not gross, just different), and it's extremely soft to the touch. Scrape it with your fingertip, and you'll get nice little curlicues of yumminess. It dissolves readily in my tea without any effort. The container is large, so you get a lot for your money.I'm not an organic guru or anything like that, so I don't know much about the complaints on here about organic labeling, etc. I just want a yummy honey that's generally better for me. This fits the bill and my budget, and I will be a customer for life.

This honey amazes me! I have had high blood sugar readings the past three years and have been dealing with them through diet, rather than taking prescriptions/insulin shots. I thought I had to live with the low 100's for fasting, but to my amazement, when taking a teaspoon or two (or even a bit more) of this honey, my blood sugar DROPS to below 100--consistently, any time of day or night. And, it's not as if I am having a sugar spike and then a plunge. I've monitored it at the 15 minute range, half-hour, hour, and two hour. It's almost eerie, because it runs against what we've always been taught--sugar in any form will increase your blood sugar values. Sadly, I believed that, and have missed out for years on a wonderful product that could have been helping me all along.I have been used to having my bs reading around 160 after certain meals--all the way up to and over 200 at times, depending upon the level of starch or carbohydrate I had eaten. Since taking this honey, I haven't seen a reading over 150. Of course, I only use it directly out of the jar. I wonder if heating it would alter the benefits. Luckily, it tastes delightful just as it is...rich, smooth, and yet not sickeningly sweet. Very satisfying.Perhaps it's just my system it has this effect on, but I will be trying it out on other family members immediately. It's still hard for me to believe it myself, though. I keep thinking it's a fluke and keep testing the theory, but it appears legitimate. WOW! THANKS YS for making such a wonderful product--already have an order in for the next jar. I keep hearing that old Mary Poppin's tune..."Just a spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down"...who knew the sugar WAS the medicine?So, I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is struggling to maintain healthy blood sugar levels. It's easy enough to see if it works for you or not. If it does, I would love to hear about it! Or even if it doesn't. It's all interesting...

Have been ordering this honey for years. Taste and quality is superior. I've tried many store bought honey jars and they just don't compare. This brand is definitely the best in my opinion.

Wanted to thank for such a great product! It's absolutely delicious! Its consistency and taste proves that it has not been processed or diluted with sugar and water. If you compare it with processed honey that is sold in stores you would actually feel there is a raw taste to this brand. Processed honey has syrup-like taste and it stays liquid for a long time. If you are looking for raw honey, you have to know that it changes its color and consistency over time.I have also noticed that no matter how much you can eat it, this honey does not make your stomach upset unlike processed store brands.In order for honey to be beneficial it has to be raw! There is no way it can deliver all its goodness to you if it's been processed! Honey is a wonder food! It has been scientifically proven to help heal wounds as it has antibacterial properties; to help restore healthy intestinal flora as it is a prebiotic; help recover from illnesses faster; help you sleep better; restore your nervous system after stressful events (try a cup of herbal tea with raw honey after a stressful day!) and even make your skin contain moisture. Raw unprocessed honey does not make your sugar spike if you are diabetic. But it absolutely has to be raw! If you buy processed honey you just waste your money, you can as well just buy some high fructose corn syrup....Thank you for selling your honey raw! I wish one day people will be educated enough to avoid processed foods.
