Great hidden dashcam!
I have had this camera for over a year and am happy that I have this peace of mind. This camera is super easy to install and works amazingly well with my ATOTO headunit. There was a small issue at the beginning that a lot of customers noted was the fact that it was recording at an extremely low framerate. This is NOT camera's fault but more of a software issue. This issue is EASILY fixed by downloading and updating the software. I have done that in 5 minutes by downloading the ".apk" file on my USB flash drive, and installed it straight from there. The camera uses a USB port and ATOTO headunits usually come with 2 USB ports (1 for camera, other to connect a USB with music/movies/etc or your phone), all you gotta do is connect it to USB and you're good to go.The camera itself is made from metal and feels very quality made and the tape they use is not one of those cheap tapes that peel off after 2 weeks. Mine has been taped for 1.5 years and is still holding strong in Florida heat. The only thing I wish is that hopefully ATOTO will soon update it to a 4k version but regardless, with this version the image is still extremely clear and the angle is wide so it catches the road very well. Additionally, it records quite clearly in the low visibility/night conditions. If you have the ATOTO headunit, you can view the recording right from the headunit on the large screen so the convenience factor of this cannot be beaten. I'll def be buying another one of these for my other car!

The answer to the question no one asked.
Great looking camera. Very clear pictures. Uses a Micro SIM card. ATOTO head unit connects and works great. Easy to mount and to use.

Compromises only usb port
The camera i ordered from atoto for Atoto doesn’t fit atoto s8 forward camera rca jack. You will need to employ the only available usb port unless you can mount camera very close to head unit. If you want it behind the mirror where you are instructed to mount it the necessary extension cable is usb so there goes your tire pressure sensor usb hook up or any other usb utility. In addition to the utterly baffling programming of head unit im thinking of clipping short the sensors cameras and microphone and returning them with the head unit to amazon.

Mounting it underneath my Jeep... it’ll work just fine, I’m sure!!!
Feb. 1st, 2021. Bought for $45.00Since nobody could accurately answer me, this device has a cord length of 18” from the camera and the cord that it plugs into which goes to USB is 91” (tad longer than 7’5”). [That’s .45m and 2.31m respectively]This is actually a very clean unit for what it is. It lags for like half a second but I didn’t notice any motion blur while it did that. I held it in my hand and moved it side to side. It followed just fine, just delayed. At night it actually made the sky light up from the night vision mode and made it look dark blue and I could see more through the camera the when I saw with my own eyes as just a black dark night.I know there are lookalikes for a little cheaper, but they weren’t plug and play with the Atoto A6 Pro, I tried and returned those. With this Atoto camera I just plugged it into the back of the A6 Pro, the only USB I saw, and pressed HD DVR app and it came right up within 2 seconds. Hassle free.I know they “advised against it” in the Q/A portion of this page, as any manufacture would since it’s not weatherproof... I am going to figure out how to run this unit and it’s cord underneath my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. There’s metal right where the bumper bolts into the body on the very bottom by the lowest 3 10mm’s that hold it in place and then there’s metal slightly behind that where you would jack the front end up. Might have to go further towards the middle of the car near the transmission area because of the cord length... but this is my camping rig and I want to see underneath it on trails to see if I’m going to hit any rocks or will have clearance issues.Where the red 3M tape is I’m going to be placing a metal piece on that and finding a strong magnet to attach to those metal spots on my car. That way I can just easily remove the camera with magnets and then unplug the camera itself from the cord to clean it or store it when I’m just driving to prolong its life. Idk if I can edit reviews or delete and re-write one, but I will update what I do. And I’ll see if the magnet messes with the camera at all. Guess I’ll find out this weekend maybe.Edit:Undercarriage metal gets wicked hot, as it’s under the engine! I was ignorant. Lol. Magnet did NOT mess with the camera whatsoever and even the heat did just fine, just couldn’t place it near the power steering line as that would have melted this camera after a few hours, so I mounted it underneath. It went just fine, and did just fine. Just be careful how you do it, where you do it :)

Ok for the money
If your using an atoto head unit this cam is ok. The video resolution isn’t stellar and the field of view is average. Its integration with the atoto head unit is where it shines. If you are installing in a Jeep wrangler you will need to make some sort of adapter to give the cam enough angle to see beyond the hood. Seems it was made with standard windshield angles in mind.

Worth it!
The media could not be loaded. Just received the dash camera, as well as the rear end camera and installed it in a couple hours. The dash camera was definitely well packaged and was straight forward plug N play for me using the Atoto A6Pf 7" head unit. You just need to have a memory card installed into the camera which you have to purchase separately. Not a deal breaker at all, I just installed my old dash camera micro sd card and routed the wire from where I mounted to the headunit and from there, the camera showed a clear HD video for me.I will give an update to this review after given sometime using the dash camera. As of right now, 5 stars for quick delivery, well packaged, and straight plug N play for me.I do recommend this product if you do have an Atoto A6Pf head unit.
