Great Quality Scooter at a Great Price
I’ve been really impressed with the Gotrax GXL V2 Electric Scooter. For the price, the quality is excellent. It’s easy to ride and easy to manipulate, making it great for commuting or just cruising around. I can ride about 10 miles with no problem on a single charge. The frame feels solid, it folds up easily, and the speed is perfect for everyday use. Overall, it’s a great value and super reliable.

Scooter very functional, easy to transport, and use.
A very good scooter! It has plenty of recharge time to cover good distances, durable tires, brakes with good pressure, and I felt comfortable driving the platform. It's very functional, easy to transport, and use.

Super fun scooter!!
The media could not be loaded. I just moved to a beach town so I got the GoTrax GXL V2, and it’s honestly a lot of fun. It feels great to ride and is super easy to fold and carry around. The speed is perfect for short commutes or just cruising around. The tires aren’t very big, so you definitely feel all the textures and bumps in the street, but that also makes the ride kind of exciting and connected to the road. Braking feels safe and responsive, and overall it’s a cool, lightweight scooter that’s worth it for the price, it also has cruise control, and the 15.5 speed feels pretty cool.If you’re looking for something affordable and fun for city rides, this is a solid choice.

Solid entry-level scooter with a few annoying quirks
We've had the GoTrax for a few months now, and generally have found it to be extremely easy to use, solidly built, and completely reliable. I've ridden it 13 miles with charge left on the battery, so the estimated range is pretty good. Definitely worth considering if you're looking for an entry-level electric scooter for commuting or getting around town without having to find parking. Just a couple of things that keep it from being five stars (which, to be fair, are probably "features" of most scooters at this level:- It comes with two gears. Gear 1 give you more power to go up steeper hills, but limits speed to about 9 mph, and so is almost never used. Gear 2 is only a little less powerful, and gives you the full 15 mph. For some reason, it defaults to gear 1 when you turn it on, so you have to remember to switch it to gear 2 every time you ride.- The accelerator is pretty much either on or off - you don't have much ability to cruise along at a lower speed by only pushing it partway, for example.- Similarly, the brakes (which work quite well) tend to engage pretty dramatically - if you're going full-speed, and slowly squeeze the brake handle, it just grips at some point and the scooter jerks as the brakes engage. It doesn't bother me much, but might be disquieting for riders looking for smoother action.- The cruise control is a bit annoying, in that you don't get to control it - if you're going consistently for seven seconds or so, it engages, and you don't get any kind of "I'm on cruise now" indicator - you just have to remember. That can be surprising when you let go of the accelerator and it doesn't slow down. Again, you get used to it, but it would have been nice to either have a button that activates it, or at least an indicator on the (bright, easily visible, very clear) display.- All operation is handled with a single little red button. Press to turn it on, 7-second to turn it off, 2-second press to switch gears, quick tap to turn the headlight on or off. The only annoying thing is the button location, on the main stem rather than up on the handlebars. It means that you pretty much have to stop if you want to safely push the button. Just something else to get used to.As you can see, those are pretty minor gripes. The actual operation is super-easy, and fun, and it's extremely stable. In a couple of months of reasonably heavy usage, I haven't seen any degradation in battery performance, though it seems like it's working a little harder to go up hills than it did on day one. It's a great choice as a starter scooter.

Bad scooter, extremely dangerous cruise control, every aspect of marketing is a lie
At 190 lbs, this thing is not a speed demon. After a few weeks of use, I can't recommend.SETUP: Very easy, but the wheels arrived deflated. You definitely need a bike pump. It doesn't come with one.The cruise control is extremely dangerous. It is controlled by holding the throttle down for a bit. The manual says it takes 10 seconds of throttle to engage CC but it is a lie. It can be activated by holding the throttle for as little as 4 seconds. It is an extremely dangerous feature. The cruise control should not be attached to the throttle. Someone will be seriously by unexpected acceleration and can be injured by this lie.The cover over the back wheel is very very flimsy, and it rattles and collides against the rear wheel as you go over bumps. It shakes and bumps against the rear wheel so badly. Every single bump is a humiliating rattle. The hook that holds the scooter when it is folded in half attaches into this flimsy cover so it usually just comes open if you try to hold it folded. Extremely low quality design. You literally cannot move it or carry it in the folded position because the attach point for the folded state is too filmsy. It just bends and comes open. One stars, because this flimsiness is unacceptable. It cannot be folded in half. I want to hold it and carry it in the folded state. Two more terrible observations. The speedometer is wrong and innacurate. It measures based off power application, not actual speed, so you can be barely cruising up hill at 2mph and it will say 15 mph. Inversely, you can be coasting down hill at 12mph and it will say 5mph.The power application is also uneven and unpredictable, barely associated with the throttle. Full throttle will result in an unpredictable power application. You can press the throttle down to max and it will suddenly jump after doing nothing. Sometimes full throttle is a weak little sputter, so you have to release the throttle and try again to get the full power application, which isn't much by the way. Finally the battery life is not as advertised. I weigh approximately 190 lbs and I mapped my route. It is 7.5 miles round trip and the battery is essentially depleted when I get home. The cruise control will kill people. The construction is shoddy. Do not buy this scooter if you value your life.
