Having added to much of this product to my pasta, I realized the product has a lot of salt flavor IF you use too much of it. I love salt and can eat it virtually by itself. Just go by the products recommended usage and/or adjust to your taste. Good product.

It’s a little salty for me but it has great flavor

This has been a fantastic addition to our lower calorie way of eating. I could no longer find Butter Buds or Molly McButter in the grocery stores, so I searched on Amazon & found this. The flavor has a wonderful buttery taste!! The large container will last longer than a small jar of the others too. Beyond a doubt I will be ordering this again!!!

Wincrest "butter sprinkles" is a one-pound jar of mostly powdered salt. It has no butter flavor that I can detect. Labeling sounds good: no fat, no cholesterol, but that is simply not true, the second ingredient is powdered butter which contains both saturated fat and cholesterol. The serving size is stated as 1/2 tsp but I found that I had to use 3 to 4 times that amount just to salt the vegetables on my plate. In the US you can assign a value of zero if a serving has less than a gram of fat or cholesterol. The trick is to reduce the serving size to an amount, say ½ teaspoon, that will be below the minimum required for listing an ingredient you do not want the buyer to see. Here the jar itself contains a great amount of saturated fat and cholesterol which can be hidden just by specifying a very small serving size. Not all countries allow this. I guess should have known not to buy a product from a "Bulk Foods" company in New York. What to do: I tried using it just as salt but then I am dosing myself with cholesterol. I will try to return it and if that fails I will drop it at the landfill on toxic waste day.

I love this stuff so much! I use it in almost all of my recipes and love to use it mixed with nutritional yeast in place of breading. The taste is buttery and delicious.

I bought this during Covid when my regular Butter Buds were no longer available. Not quite the same taste, but such a good value, I will continue to use it.

This is a good substitute for butter but still gives you a bit of that taste. It is a bit salty.
