Perfect fit for 1953 TO-30
This works great - we had to do about 1/2 adjustment on the Screw on the top of the Carb (the one at the front). This could be hand adjusted. It did crank with the default setting, but adjustment made it run smoothly. It now cranks with less than 2 seconds now once the starter is engaged (like it use to when I purchased it used 25 years ago).

operates as it should
Item arrived on time on a Sunday! very excited to get this thing out of the box and installed on my Ferguson TO20 tractor for the beginning of the fall firewood cutting season. I wasn't sure if it was going to perform as well as the original carburetor due to the fact that it is made of aluminum which is quite a bit lighter than the extremely heavy original. For sure a plug and play item which required no adjusting at all. Tractor fired right up and ran smoothly. I am extremely happy with it's initial performance. The real test will be skidding logs out of the woods and hauling processed firewood. The only thing that wasn't right with this item, was the hole for the throttle linkage was just a hair to small, and I had to bore it out with a drill bit just a tad. That being said, it wasn't a deal breaker and in no way did it cause a drop in stars for the rating. I would say to anyone looking for a decent aftermarket carbuator , this product is well worth the money. I would buy again.

Best price and works
Does not look like picture, is aluminum and no color. It works good, only problem is it has an hesitation on acceleration but works well enough for my use(grading with yardbox).

flimsy/light/leaks
When I opened the box and took it out of the packaging, I should have known something was amiss. It weighs next to nothing. I bought it for my 53 Ferguson TO30. The old carb felt sturdy and heavy. This? This felt light and flimsy. Anyway, I installed it. As soon as I turned the gas on and tried to start it, gas leaked out. A steady stream. I tightened the drain plug, and it slowed the leak down, but still leaked. Tractor turned over 1 time, then died. Even after double checking and tightening everything, it still leaked. If you're buying it for a tractor, save yourself the frustration and buy a carb from one of the Tractor websites (steiner/yesterday's tractor). I uninstalled this, drained it, wiped it down the best I could and let it air dry. Then repackaged and requested a refund. Seller issued refund.

Fits 1951 TO30
Good fit for my 1951 TO30. The carb I got was silver, not brass colored, not that it makes any difference. Bolted right on, quick and easy install. Did take some adjustments to get the idle where it should be. My only complaint is the tiny little fuel strainer. I don't think the original carb had one, or if it did, the previous owner of old Fergie removed it for the same reason I did. It plugged within seconds of putting the tractor in gear and heading toward the pasture to get to work. After removing and blowing the strainer out 3 times, I ended up cutting the fuel line and installing an inline fuel filter in lieu of the tiny little in-carb strainer. I have no desire to pull the fuel tank and cut it open to remove what I'm guessing is a broken baffle in the tank, scraping around and stirring up dirt and rust. The little inline filter seems to work just fine so far, and is cheap and easy to replace if it gets clogged.

Nearly plug and play
The hole for the tractors constant speed linkage is undersized by just enough that it needs to be drilled out one drill size larger… mixture screws are close to right adjustment… replaced both distributor and put on this carb and the tractor fired off as it is was just shut down… it hasn’t run in 2 years…so far it’s starts each time with a bit of the choke and once warmed runs like new…
