Great replacement for T8 Florescent lights
NOTE: These led bulbs are Type B replacements which means you have to remove the ballast and direct wire the lights. Also, these bulbs have 2 rows of led lights so they are twice as bright which is very handy in the garage and shop.I had 8 florescent light fixtures with 2 bulbs each in my garage. The 20 year old ballasts were starting to go out. New ballasts are around $20 each so it was actually cheaper to buy 25 bulbs and eliminate all the flicker and sound of the florescent lights.I ordered 25 led bulbs to replace them and used the extras in my shop. The first photo shows the fixture on the left with the new led bulbs compared to the old florescent lights on the right. The second photo is the original florescent bulbs and the third photo is the new led bulbs. It is really easy to remove the ballast. All you do is turn off the power, remove the cover, cut all the wires to the ballast, connect the yellow (or sometimes black) wires in your fixture to the neutral wire (white), and connect the blue and red wires to the power wire (black). You should remove the black and white wires that were attached to the ballast unless you use them for a pigtail connection to the yellow and blue/red wires. There are lots of videos on YouTube for converting your florescent fixture for Type B led lights. It took me about 10-15 minutes per fixture but I was doing it by myself. With some help, I could have done it much faster.I liked the lights so much better in the garage that I decided to do my shop as well so I bought 50 more bulbs. The fourth photo is of my messy shop with 8 of the new led bulbs installed. The fifth photo is my shop with all 48 new led bulbs installed. With the extra bulbs I have left, I am going to replace some in my friends house. The bulbs are very easy to install just like any other T8 bulb.If I had to complain about something, it would be the plastic film on the bulb lens which you should remove. Sometimes the film was on the lens and sometimes not. Sometimes it was caught under the ends so it took some extra time to pull it off. It only took about 5-20 seconds but it seemed unnecessary to have the film. It is probably there so it does not get scratched during the install and meant to be removed once the bulb is installed.Other than that, I am extremely happy with the quality and performance of these new bulbs.

Nice and affordable
Replaced my old fluorescent bulbs with these. Much lighter, less hazardous, way less energy used, and much better light. Just be sure to get the tone you need as they can come in a scale of brightness warm to cool/harsh.

50% failure rate right out of the box!
4 bulb order. Out of the box, 2 didnt work. Tried multiple lamps. 2 work great. 1 of the 2 that dont work has a pin missing on one end & black burn marks on the end like it was shorted out. This is apparently a return that was resold to me. Cant return just 2 bulbs and I need the light now! Avoid this seller who I wager will NOT try to make it right. Update: 3rd bulb dies after 40 min. Garbage.

Incredibly bright
I bought these to use in my workshop and in the garage. When used over workbenches I ended up having to extend the reflectors on the fixtures to keep the intense light from direct view of the LEDs. In a few applications I reversed the tubes so that the LEDs look up and the light is reflected back down. It would have been better had I been able to install the fixtures higher, but my basement workshop only has a 6-1/2 foot ceiling.I previously had Phillips Alto 32 watt 5,000K fluorescents installed. Using a multimeter I measured 983 lumens light output 27" directly below the tubes (2 installed). With these LEDs I am measuring 2,068 lumens at the same position. For taking the measurements I replaced the fluorescents with unused tubes and let them warm up for about 15 minutes. In both cases power consumption is 52 watts with 2 tubes in the fixture. To measure the light output I used a generic multimeter and to measure the power consumption I used a Kill A Watt device. I have no idea about how well calibrated either device is.Having to rewire the fixture is a nuisance, but well worth while.
