Sand Digger, A Heavy Duty Metal Backhoe Toy: Tough Kid (Yellow)

Our grandson just turned 4. He's tall and it fits him perfectly. He knew exactly how to operate it the first attempt, so very age appropriate. Our other grandson is 2 1/2 and his feet don't reach the ground. A small tire fitted between the base and top would work for fit but he struggles to operate the controls. Nothing keeps him from trying, though. They love it for their pea gravel play area.

Love the backhoe. The control rods are not installed correctly. Revers them on the bucket and it works much better. Instead of pushing to dig you can no pull to dig. Try it and you will agree.

I ordered this for our local threshing show. We recently put in a sand box and got one of these for the kids to play with. Our show is a 2 day event, and there wasn't a second that passed where there wasn't a kid on it and digging with it, it stood up great! Here's something that we found out after buying this unit and another one, the bucket on this unit digs better beings the bucket bottom is at a 45 degree angle verses the other one where the bucket is a perfect square (90 degree) box. The cutting edge of this bucket always touches the ground first and the other one the cutting edge and the back of the bucket will hit the ground at the same time limiting the digging ability once you've scratched the surface.

The grandkids love it! This is a sturdy piece of machinery. It is a great addition to the sandbox.

My grandson really wanted one of these diggers! I researched different models and decided on this one. It was one of the more expensive ones but I didn’t want it falling apart (as other reviews suggested) every time he played with it.It has been holding up great and my 3 year old grandson loves it!

I ordered this because it has a 5 yr. warranty on it but it did not come with any paperwork. I have made 2 phone calls and left messages because there isn't any one there when I call and have not had any response. I would like paperwork stating that there is a 5 yr. warranty with the product so I have proof should anything go wrong. I will keep calling and leaving messages until I get results.

Purchased this for our grandson. He knows a variety of "terra-forming" equipment by name.Backs his Tonka dump truck up and loads away. Great fun.
