It easily breaks chains. Most of the chain breakers I have used were carp, but not in this case.Get it. It is cheap and works.

I had loan the first pair to a friend. Ended up letting that friend keep them because he was in desperate need. So I liked them so much, they worked so well from the start I just wanted the same thing.. They do what they're supposed to do.

The chain breaker feels like it is made from sturdy steel. I had no prior experience working with a chain breaker and was able to get it to work within minutes. Prior to purchase, I was worried the device would not be strong enough to push the pins on my 428 series motorcycle chain. I was glad to find out is was plenty strong for the device and I am sure it will also work on my larger motorcycles using the 525 series chains.

My buddy who is a mechanic said that this was a better than average quality chain breaker.I would comment that it’s important to grind the rivet flush that you’re pushing through, otherwise it’s almost impossible to punch it through. This is easily done with an angle grinder and any grinding wheel.

I was hoping to get one use from this but both pins shattered like peanut brittle as the chain link laughed in victory. Spend cheap, get cheap.

I don't need to break MTB chains often, maybe 3 times in 5 years. I bought a 7 dollar breaker tool from Walmart it broke. Bought a 10.00 tool from Walmart it broke. Ordered this tool and 5 min after it arrived the bike chain was broken and I was installing the new chain. I would buy it again.

The device includes two inserts to press the pins out. They break each time you use it so I only got two uses. I was two days late to return it. May work fine on light duty chains but not true motorcross chains.
