Bought this to bind together sections of water heater insulation blankets that I cut to make insulation blankets for my garage doors. Years ago, I purchased pre-made vinyl covered garage door insulation blankets and they worked great. It appears they are no longer made so I created my own after installing new garage doors.This tape worked perfectly on the vinyl coverings to seam the pieces together. It also bonded well to the garage doors at the edges.For a long lasting bond, I would recommend cleaning the surfaces with alcohol or acetone first and letting it evaporate before applying the tape.Make sure you apply it where you want it the first time as it's difficult to remove. If you accidentally touch the sticky sides together, you better cut another piece as it's nearly impossible to pull the tape back apart without ripping it.Based on how aggressively it sticks to vinyl, I believe it would also be an excellent choice for PE sheet films and vapor barrier.---------------------------PS - Recently, I reordered this product for another project.. This tape sticks well to most any clean dry surface. Make sure you have it where you want it when applying because it's nearly impossible to reposition once in place. And, when applying a long section of tape, if it touches itself you might as well cut off that section out and start over. You likely won't be able to separate the contact point. Versatile and effective tape for the right projects. Some of the stickiest stuff I've ever used.

This stuff is really awesome. We were putting down a vapor barrier and the stickiness of the tape and its width is really good. It has now gone through one whole season and the adhesion is still as strong as the day it was installed. I would buy this product again

I purchased this tape not knowing how well it would hold the moisture barrier under the mobile home. It met the challenge and has a strong hold. If using, clean the area of any dirt and this tape will do its job.

Used like 15 rolls of this to complete the vapor barrier between overlapping sheets of bubble foil insulation. It looks great and it's really strong tape, but I'm starting to see it pull off the foil over time.I think this has a lot to do with how much you stretch it when you're initially applying, so the technique I've settled on is pull out as much as I need then let off the tape to relieve pressure and then actually stick it to the surface, otherwise it seems to pull itself back off. Good now that I've figured it out, but I had to retape a lot of my prior work where I just was unrolling it as I walked along.

I used this product to tape the seams and seal the plastic barrier to the block support piers when encapsulating my crawl space. It's been a few years since I installed the plastic and the tape is still holding strong, even to the dirty blocks.

The best thing about this stuff is that it is Super Sticky. The worst thing about it is it is Super Sticky, so place it correctly 'csuse you will immediately own it.Start somewhere where no one will see it, by the end of your job, you will be doing it better, straighter, neater, longer pieces.For long pieces I learned to stick one end of it at the top of a ladder, and pull it all the way down for my length, and stick the other end on another step of the ladder. Then when I cut it, it would not curl up on itself and ruin itself.

This tape offers superior adhesion to insulation products like reflectix insulation. Not the easiest to work with, but gets the job done and seems to adhere well over time. This is a permanent product, removal is not possible without damaging the substrate, so keep this in mind when installing.
