1-Bud-B Brown Earphone w/Heavy-Duty Cord

I like having one ear tuned to my reader and one ear available to converse when needed. The sound is wonderful. The cord is a good length. The color of the cord blends in (tan) instead of sticking out so it is less noticeable. It even survived being washed (I strongly recommend that you DON'T wash it). The ear bud cord can be looped around your ear so that it isn't falling out so much when it gets caught on something. I always seem to catch on something, just graceful - that's me. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Single ear bud without a speaker, with a bent connecter, in a neutral color cord is perfect for me.

I work in a place where we are not allowed to use headphones or even a single ear-bud like this. I use it anyway. The sound quality is okay and it is stereo although sometimes you can't tell the difference. I have this paired up with a Cowon M2 (what a waste of the Cowon's abilities !) and thanks to the M2's many sound fields I can pretty much tune it so the sound quality is good. The colour seems like it would stand out and be really noticeable but in some strange way it seems to blend in to almost everything I wear so that is camouflaged when I wear it. Or maybe people just don't notice. I think it is a little expensive but if this is what you need, well, here it is. I have had this some months now and it seems relatively durable, the cord doesn't seem that 'heavy duty' - although I haven't tried to lasso cattle with it, swing from trees or anything like that.

I loved that this earbud had very good quality sound for a single earbud. Also it has lasted a very long time, even using it for hours a day. I used it mostly while driving to keep my other ear open for safety reasons, so that I could hear what was going on in my surroundings. Other mono earbuds I tried would not mix the left and right, especially when listening to older music such as Simon and Garfunkel. Sometimes only getting left or right speaker sound. This would be great for someone who has lost hearing in one ear!

Update after many years of use:Lowered score to 3 as the quality has fallen off. I usually get about 3 years of nightly use, then they get progressively quieter till I replace them. This last earphone broke at the connection after 1.5 year's. Heavy duty claim makes me think this area should be beefy and structural. Never had issues with the wire entry before. I will be replacing with a different sturdier brand if I can find one.Let me start by saying i use this every day (actually night) as I sleep with one of these in my ear with an audiobook playing. I developed this habit in Afghanistan to help me fall to sleep (I have ADD and it seems to occupy the "busy" part of my brain so i can fall to sleep). These have been wonderful. It's very durable (i toss and turn and it has lasted for months so far). The sound is all steered to one ear so i don't miss anything that might have been stereo and sent to the other ear. The cord is plenty long such that it can be used while your phone is in your front pocket. And the cord is somewhat flesh colored so it does not jump out as a earphone. One of the unintended benefits is that it really does not tangle but this is more a function of the single cord as opposed to the 3 ends on a typical headphone (2 ears and 1 plug) that seem to find a way to tie some interesting knots while i sleep.Pros: Durable, long cord, flesh colored cord, combined stereo into mono, comfortable fit (several sized earbud tips included)Cons: none at this timeThis is my earphone for bedtime from now on. If this breaks I will be ordering a new one ASAP. I used to go through earphones at a pretty quick pace by twisting them around my head and then the pressure on the ear piece or plug would cause shorts and loss of signal. Well that has not happened in a very long time with these dudes. Thanks again for a great product.

Terrible, muddled sound. I didn't mind paying a little more for what I thought would be an upgrade from some cheap earbuds that I clipped to make single sided. Rubber tip on earpiece is very flimsy and the cord is anything but "heavy duty." Also, the shade of brown is unattractive and doesn't match the skin tone of a single person on earth. Disappointed -- will return and try the competing brand.

The sound quality is good. I’ve purchased two of these in the last four or five years. I use them a lot and eventually the cable breaks. It’s reasonable wear and tear. This is the first heavy-duty version I’ve purchased. Other reviews have mentioned mechanical noise from the heavier cable. And it’s true. Depending upon how you use this, it may or may not be an issue ( minimum body movement, etc.) The lighter version of this earbud doesn’t have this much of a noise issue. I use these as in-ear stage monitors in a praise band-not enough wireless ear buds for everyone. With the rest of the mix in the ear buds, the cable noise may not be much of a problem. I’ve not tried it on stage yet.Since the lighter version lasts long enough for my needs, my next purchase will probably be the lighter version-or a wireless system of my own.

I wear a 'hidden' earbud at work all day, everyday, and this little gem has lasted 6 months of being threaded through a hole in my front pocket,up around my neck, safety-pinned to my collar, and has performed flawlessly, the sound is robust, the cord doesn't tangle, and best of all the 'brown' color really keeps my illicit podcast listened on the down-low. It's the best thing I've ever put in my head!

I sleep every night with one of these earbuds in my ear as I listen to audiobooks as I sleep. In the past I worked the night shift and use to be a day sleeper with the TV on to drown out noise. Now I cannot get to sleep at night without some noise in my ear. This keeps my spouse happy because I can have my noise without bothering him. I use daily for audiobooks while I work. No problem with breakage. I must not be as hard on them as others since I have used daily for couple of years without any issues.
