Leak-B-Gone Plumbing PVC Pipe Leak Repair Rings 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2"

This 1 1/2 in sleeve did the trick. Worth every cent, however I do wish it was cheaper because I only needed the 1 1/2 sleeve. So I paid $16 for it. I had fixed the drain pipe at my Mom and Dads and where I had put a sleeve was leaking. So I cut out the sleeve and put a coupling and another sleeve and that sleeve also leaked. This did fix and stop the leak. I had primer and glue that was on the pipe where the leak was, which all had to be sanded off. This leak-b gone little sleeve is a tight fit… so nothing can be on the pipe. Including primer. I used belt sander cloth to sand around the pipe in a tight area .. kinda cut into a 2x6. But after sanding as to not damage the pipe but remove glue and primer. It leak-b gone stopped the leak. I also used a different glue called like all weather or sun and rain or wet conditions or something like that.

Just pay a plumber to fix leak or watch YouTube, trust me. Been doing home fixes for 20 yrs. This seemed like a winner product but I assure you it’s just a gimmick. Thing just pops apart when pushed against existing flange. I’ll be cutting everything out and doing it the right way. If it seems too good to be true, it is.

We were trying to fix a leak in our sprinkler system at the box and it didn't seem to do the job, but maybe we were using it for a task it was not intended for.

Had a small leak on the pressure side of my pool pump and this little gizmo saved the day. One day on and no leak. Follow the best practices of cleaning, priming, and gluing and you'll be fine.

Leak was hard to get to. It was easier to replace pipe and elbows. Actually didn't use the product. It's a great idea so I'll keep it in my tool kit.

Attempted to fix a small leak coming off the side of a vertical PVC pipe. First time, had the ring in place and then applied primer, watching the primer drip down and seal the ring in place...half a foot away from the leak. I'll take the blame for that one though! Second time, attempted to apply the ring after primer was fully dried and after cement was applied. Couldn't get the ring to close in time, and when I did get it to close, the plastic on the clasp snapped. Add to that the fast that YOU CANNOT BUY JUST THE SIZE YOU WANT IN REASONABLE QUANTITIES, I've wasted enough money trying to fix this myself where the sprinkler company's hourly rate + parts pricing is in the ballpark. This is garbage, you're better off learning to do this the right way (cut the leak out) or paying someone else to do it.

This is a great product and I used in a bathroom remodel where the tub drain did not set right after installing. I would have had to cut the kitchen ceiling out in order to take everything out again and this saved me hours of work. This isn't for every application but I had no excess glue and just cleaned pipe with sand paper, primed, glued and slipped over to fitting just as the video shows. I used on 40 pipe and had no issues. I wish they sold in a smaller quantity vs. having to buy a multi pack of different sizes or a 10 pack of the same size. Only complaint would be smaller packaging otherwise great product and so simple.

I had a leak at a 90 deg elbow that was part of a 5 valve manifold, hoped this would work so I would not have to replace the entire manifold. Followed the instructions (3/4" pipe) and did not fix leak. Spent $5 on tees, 90 deg elbows, and maybe 12" of PVC pipe and had the manifold rebuilt in an hour. Should have done this at the start and save myself $15.
