My favorite rifle
Best of the best. Not a toy. Not for young users without skills. Very heavy. Requires swift strength to cock. I have an earlier model, this makes only 25% of the noise the early model does. It's insignificant, but there is a recoil. Cheap scope needs a bunch of work to site in. 15 clicks to move left, 15 clicks to raise to center. At 25 meters this will zero in on a bottle cap center. At 50 meters I'm still rocking the bottle cap. This is varmit lethal at 70 meters. Very pleased. When installing scope be aware adjustable pintle on rear rings for scope may be out too far to install. Back it out a bit with provided tool and adjust once clamps engaged.

Powerful 22 Cal Breakbarrel Air Gun
Very Impressed with this new airgun. Bought padded leather half finger gloves from a bike shop to spare my had from the hand action to break the barrel. Breaking the barrel takes some practice.Otherwise, sighting in the gun scope took about a half hour. The outcome is impressive...nice tight patterns. No doubt it will take out the varmits that are hanging around my house....ground hog and raccoons.Otherwise, it is a sturdy well built airgun. Highly recommend giving it your favorable consideration for purchase.

Hard to pull trigger without moving gun.
With high quality pellets from Germany the gun is very accurate at close range .Around 30 feet. The problem is the trigger is very hard to pull which causes you to move the gun during shot.I have tried to adjust the trigger but it onlu changes the length of the throw not the ease of the trigger pull. The other big problem is the scope. I have tightened the screws on the mounting clips several times and either they don't hold or they are bending . Whatever the case the scope moves on the barrel and has to be retightened and resighted in. I don't shoot it that nuch and have done that at least 3 times. I am looking for another gun with a lighter trigger.

Junk
One day I caulked the Gun put a pallet and set it down. I forgot about it. Grabbed it two days later want to go shoot it and I don’t have enough power to shoot the pallet out put a little dirty Diana still what should I do to fix it before I throw it in the trash

Bang Bang!
Bought this as I need to return the 22. pellet rifle I borrowed. Seems rather quiet. Also sends the Ground Hogs where they need to go.

Decent air rifle...for a little while...
My husband has had this air rifle (Benjamin BP2SXS Prowler Nitro Piston .22-Caliber Break Barrel Air Rifle, Black) since 11/22/21. I write this review on 01/05/22. While it took a while to find the pellets that would provide the best accuracy with this rifle (H & N Sport's "Hornet"), and the scope that came with it was somewhat disappointing, he has really enjoyed plinking away with it. For a break-barrel air rifle, he felt that it had decent power and accuracy. Unfortunately, as of today there is no more "plink" left in this rifle. The piston has lost its seal. It cocks too easily, and will not even start the pellet. Amazon does not allow a return of this item. Maybe to some, spending this much money on an item they may only be able to use and enjoy for 44 days is something they can shrug off -- but those who, like us, who have to think long and hard about a purchase like this? They may want to take our experience into consideration before they make a purchase.

accurate but more importantly, 1 shot and they drop lethal. Quiet enough.
After realizing that an automatic airsoft just wasnt doing the job, I broke out the Prowler to change the tables for pests over the past 2 days. The last 8 clear-shot scenarios bagged 7 pest animals that have destroyed the cost of the rifle already this year and would have tripled that in June. After the first shot on each larger pest, all 5 dropped right to the ground. Using crossman 14.3gr pointed tip premier pellets and spent 30 minutes sighting it in. Factory scope has held the reticle for 6 mos, but I would like to upgrade the stock 4x32 into a larger dia mm scope with a larger and clearer view . Having the NITRO keeps the scope from walking all over the gun like the RWS spring 350 I used prior and this 22 is proving effective. It holds an air charge over night without issue - but I havent tried to see how longer than that. Synthetic barrel seal has held place since new. Doesnt consume lube like the spring models. Honestly, the prowler is not as quite as accurate as my first loud RWS .177 that could put 10 pellets into the same hole at 1100fps. However, this 22 at 950 fps has dropping power vs. the .177 RWS that was more likely to injure the pest (unless a head shot) without collecting it. This Prowler is a few years old and has a smaller 6” silencer on the end, unlike the new ones with over a foot silencing, but its still much quieter than my past un-muted supersonic 177 RWS airguns. Verdict: its a worthy buy and has solid, well made quality to last 20+ years. Synthetic stock with 2” molded in rubber pad is extreme overkill for a pellet rifle, so it has no felt recoil and is sturdy for field use. You can see the safety ON when near trigger and OFF pushed forward — so easy to feel it ON when going to shoot but quiet and easily felt to lift it forward with shooting finger and then make the shot - I havent lost an animal from the safety and its more intuitive that a slide pin where one never seems to remember if this gun is right or left for Safe. Compare the model number shown to the one you are buying… I recommend this weapon.
