Smiffys 1960s Groovy Lady

I'm hesitant to buy something like this knowing the quality of costumes are not always the best. Sooo happy that it fit me well and it was fun, fun, fun to wear to work on Halloween. The price was fair and the complements were many!

Was a little large in the chest. I didn’t know whether to buy a large or XL. I wear both sizes in shirts. Otherwise the dress was very comfortable. The front neck part of the dress could have been snugger. I’m a busty lady, but it was still a little loose in the neck/chest area. Cute costume.

This outfit was very cute. I found that the waist and hips fit fine, but I had to take up the bodice top. I moved the shoulder seam up, and I moved the sleeve seam up...because the sleeve was dragging below my shoulders. It fit nicely after my alterations, and I do sew on a machine. I was pleased with the overall look after I took it up to fit. I also took up the vest shoulder seam about .5 of an inch. It made a lot of difference in how it looked on me.

I was very impressed with this costume. The fabric felt great. The fit was awesome. I am 5’3” and 125 pounds and I bought a medium. I had room to move in it. I don’t like things tight. I will probably wear it again next year! I thought the price was worth the costume.

I got so many compliments on my costume! The dress and headband are adorable. Sometimes these things run small, but I would say it was true to size and it’s not see through. It’s vibrant, and super groovy!! The vest is pretty flimsy, so I subbed my own. But the dress is so cute I’m still giving them 5 stars! (I’m 5’6” if anyone is trying to get an idea about length) BTW, the white boots are a MUST! the dress fits a bit snug; i got a medium and am a size 10 - i should have purchased a size larger. the fringe overlay only has one small Velcro closure in the front and it is made of pretty flimsy material. headband was a good addition. peace symbol necklace was not shipped with the costume for some reason. i never did receive it.

Fit great. Wasn’t cheap material at all. Got lots of compliments at Halloween party. Love it!

Perfect, comfortable costume! Ordered it for my Mom and she loved it! It’s not a costume that is too short or too revealing, but it’s still cute and flattering. I did notice it ran a little on the big side, she is 5’4’’ 130 pounds and ordered her the medium.
