Firstly this game is really expensive but I can understand the reason is that the maker is an independent game maker and not backed by a big board game maker.The game itself is really nice quality and comes well packed. The canvas playing service could be a little thicker, but with care should last for years, and is fairly large.Good instructions are included with free downloads of extra racing cards.Although expensive it’s really put together well and looks like a ton of fun with a bunch of friends.

This was my husband's favorite Christmas gift. The horses are hand panted and beautiful. This is a great game for a little horse racing action with friends and family. Super fun gift and I'm so glad I bought it for him.

We recently bought this game because the grandkids love horses. The metal horses are nice and seem very durable; however, I do worry about the tail, I hope it holds up, I do imagine that if anything where to break off the horses it would be the tail, we'll see.The game is easy to learn and the grandkids love it, the youngest is almost 6 and she loves this game.The mat/field is very durable and a great touch, I don't have to worry about something being spilled on it.I do think this game is a bit overpriced and shouldn't be over $80.00 as compared to other games in the industry.One thing that needs changed, line the inside of the dice cup with felt, the metal cup is TOO Noisy, we will be using the Yahtzee cup since we don't play that game anymore.Would I buy this game again? Yes, even though it's $30.00 to $40.00 over priced.

I had reservations about paying this much for a game, but having bought it, I play with it a lot. It's just fun to run the horses in races. It's a durable product, with metal horses well made. I modify the rules a bit for my own purposes. For example, I move each horse just three spaces for the big dice, and two for the little dice, finding that this makes for a slightly longer and closer race. So in spite of the fact that I think it is over priced, I'm getting my money's worth playing it.

This game is a lot of fun. I am taking this down to the shore for vacation and look forward to playing it with the entire family on rainy days and late at night!The pieces are really made well. Artistically, they are very cool, with some nice detail. They are also made with pewter (I believe), not some kind of cheap plastic.One issue that I had was that I am color blind. I struggle to differentiate between the browns, greens, and blacks and on the dice as well as the horses. So I emailed "Smoke" and told him my issue. He responded immediately and sent me another complete set of dice with a black dot on the black dice and a line on the brown dice. Additionally, he sent me two new horses with the corresponding dot and line to help me out with the colors. No cost either. That is extremely generous and speaks to the quality and care behind the product. Could not ask for better support.This is not one of those mass-produced games. If you enjoy horse racing, this is a fun way to incorporate that into some family fun. I foresee my family playing this game on Sundays during the Triple Crown races and down at the shore for years to come!Love the game and the work that Mike has done.

We received our PhotoFinish game just in time for our holiday parties. To say it was a hit would be an understatement! After we cleared the table of dinner, I brought out the game and proceeded to begin play. The instructions for play were clear and easy. We were playing in less than 10 minutes. To make things interesting, we charged a dollar a horse. For the shouting and excitement that came with each new role of the dice, you would have thought there were thousands on the line to win! We got so caught up in playing that the next thing we new, it was after midnight! The board/racetrack is very durable and the horses are nicely painted. We will certainly be holding lots of PhotoFinish parties this year. A great game for young and old!!!

It's a fun family game, horses are good quality but the board could be better

A must have game.It took me about 3 weeks to roll the dice on this game. The $123.00 price tag was something I had to think about for a board game/parlor game I thought. I have a lot of family and friends that come together at our home. I was looking for a new interacting game. Can't believe it took me this long to find out about this game. If you like horse racing this game is a must have. Fun for all ages and especially fun hosting the big horse racing events. This game is well made with quality in mind, second to none customer service and support. You will not be disappointed.
