Hefty!
All these imported Play Arts Kai figures command a hefty price for action figures, but they do come in a larger scale, with better details, sculpting and articulation than most other action figures (the escalating price increases for domestic figures from Mattel and Hasbro for their smaller six inch scale figures are not relative to their value nearly as much). Therefore, I was glad to be able to physically feel the "heft" in the weight of these figures, even on smaller, female figures like this Catwoman.Oftentimes, the problem with making action figures of comic characters, especially females who are portrayed with the usual exaggerated sexiness of an idealized female form, is getting poseability and usable articulation while being able to maintain that alluring feminine body shape. Usually, the tradeoffs for articulation make the woman look mannish or just silly or the lithe limbs make arms and legs too thin and breakable to move or for the figure to even stand on it's petite feet (like most Barbies). This Catwoman figure, however, is a marvel of engineering and art. The brilliant articulation choices allow it to be put into a myriad of dynamic fighting, climbing, stealing, seducing and otherwise feline poses and yet from most views (aside from some odd looks with the double knee from certain angles) it is still able to retain a recognizable feminine shape. The extra hands are helpful for a variety of poses and the head with goggles on and the one with goggles up are a nice addition, but I had a really hard time getting the goggles on one on the peg and will probably only keep one on for fear of breaking a peg trying to switch too many time. It would have been better to just have the goggles be moveable on their own.All in all, a great addition to the other figures I have bought in this series and the best Catwoman figure made in any scale, in terms of sculpt, articulation and design.

This figure is SO good, PURfect I dare say
Unless it's Nightwing, Teen Titans, Power girl or Spider-Man related I don't really collect it comic book wise, but once I got my hand on the Play Arts Kai Batman and Catwoman I KNEW they were perfect. Now this is about Catwoman which is so perfect it pisses me off, let me explain why, first what makes her perfect.-FULLY. POSSIBLE. Can not stress that enough. If you want her in a pose, she can do it (more so with a stand seeing as she has heels and WILL, not maybe, WILL fall over.) she can roll into a ball or just crawl around or even left her leg up to her head.-Her Accesories are great and plentiful, you get: her iconic whip, Claw hands, Relaxed hands, Whip holding hands and a second head with goggles on which is beautifully painted red.-Her details are phenomanal, I've never noticed how detailed her suit is till I saw this figure, also it's a small detail but I LOVE her smile. It just brings out her personality and fun.Now this is where it pisses me off because why does Catwoman have a smile, but not DMC3 Dante or Street Fighter Sakura?! That's such an offense because these 3 characters ALWAYS smile, so why not Dante or Sakura? It's clear Play Arts Kai can do it, I don't know it just ticks me off. But back to subjectIf you want ONE Catwomam, ONLY ONE, this is the one to get, and this is a guy whose practically owned countless Catwomans (Catwomen?) and this is the best one to get

A few glaring issues
At first glance this looks amazing. I didn't notice any bobbles in the paint. The face looks great. She didn't have any loose or locked joints. The hands and head swapped out easily. The joints blend in very nicely. She has some annoying problems. The paint on her neck and chest is too shiny. It doesn't match the face. Her neck is freakishly long. If her head tilts much, forward or back, it really exposes the neck joint. Maybe the original design was supposed to have the neck fit farther into her head. She can be posed on a shelf to minimize the problems, otherwise I would have dropped her down to 3 stars. Without the problems she would be a firm 5.

Made for display but also for play!
Normally, I'm just a big collector of pretty action figures that usually go up for display on my shelves or my stands or some other place in my home. But this one... unlike all of the other figures standing in poses on their feet, she's able to posed in so many other ways. Her detail, flexibility, and design are flawless. Great for anyone who loves Catwoman, Arkham City, or the Batman family series in general. I have not been disappointed in this figure at all.Pros: Lots of different hands, good joints for posing, amazing attention to detail with paint, sculpt, and joints.Cons: The head ball joint is a little loose on my figure, as a result her head comes off fairly easily. Also, she only comes with her whip while in the game she had bolas and caltrops as well. Would have been nice to see those with the figure.
