Good to fit tight spaces
I got this to replace a standard window latch that has a curve in it. The curve of the latch prevented it from closing due to the gap between the latch and the wall. This replacement fit the same screw holes and the straight handle solved the clearance problem. The part seems well-made without any rough edges and looks nice. Recommended.

Not for steel windows
This product is made well and works as it should. I did not read the description well enough and tried to use them with steel casement windows. In the end I broke one and had to modify the other to work without breaking.

Doesn't Fit the Original Locks on Your Windows from the 50s.
Just as one of the other reviewers mentioned, the latch on this is not a match with the original latches I am trying to replace. So the handle can't lock fully--it goes about halfway down.

Not best for vintage
Great latches, but they needed to be modified to work with my vintage 1950’s aluminum cased windows. After trimming part of the inner hook, they work great.

Have steel casements. This is thin, flimsy with side to side play Nothing like an original

Make sure you measure!
These are exactly what I needed, but in a different size. I ordered them based on the look (how many things could possibly look like this?) but my locks are actually bigger. It was completely my mistake. But these look great and felt sturdy and the installation would have been easy if my stuff was in the right place!

Good product
Bought them as replacements on my 1972 windows and they were never installed. Still have them in a box.
