Sharkhide Aluminum Pontoon Boat Cleaner and Protectant

Tried other products. This was easy to apply and quite a difference before and after. Will buy again. Toons look good and get lots of compliments. Easier to clean now also.

I purchased a used pontoon boat which needed to be cleaned. The SharkHide products are outstanding, and well worth the money.

I used Sharkhide on my 1995 Jetcraft Aluminum welded boat, to fight the brackish water, while being moored at the marina during Salmon season.It has been two seasons since I put the first coat of Sharkhide on my boat, and it is still serving its protection today. It’s safe on the paint too. Do read the directions, and follow them exactly as instructed. If you have any questions, call the company that produces Sharkhide directly, like I did. A real person, who is knowledgeable on the product, will actually answer the phone, and will gladly answer all of your questions! It’s amazing. Just like their product is. I am extremely happy with my results from Sharkhide. It’s pricey, but it works!

I wish I came across this before I had mounted all my aluminum panels in my car. As the demonstration shows, when cleaning, it needs to sit evenly to clean evenly. Read the instructions and do a test area. The cleaner is strong and needs to be diluted. If it pools, the cleaning will be uneven-a challenge to vertical or pitched surfaces. The finish does not dull the aluminum, comes out really nice!

The shark hide cleaner is absolutely amazing!!! The issue is it take around 6 bottles to do a pontoon boat. The sealer is shipped with the 2 bottles. You basically end up paying for 2 bottles of sealer you don’t need because 1 bottle of sealer is more then enough for a 25’ pontoon.

We bought this to clean our pontoons on our Bennington Premium boat. The boat is less than 5 years old. No warnings or anything on the package to check before using on Pontoons. I followed the instructions exactly and diluted to the recommended mixture. My pontoons had streaks in them. I sprayed again. I had watched the you tube instruction video before applying as well. My pontoons were lookkng worse and worse with brushed streaks. I stopped and looked up the manufacturers number. I called and asked to speak to someone. The first gentleman was super nice. He told me he had never heard of that. He gave me the name of the gentleman who invented the patton to their product. So I called him. I sent him pictures before I called so he had a visual. I then called him. He told me he could see pictures on a little screen to email him the pictures. I did this. No response. This was Wednesday. We didnt get to use the boat for the weekend waiting for a response. On Sunday night, I emailed back. He responded to call him anytime the next business day. I called him during business hours. He wasnt very pleasant. I told him I sent pictures and didnt get a response. He informed me that he gets 30 sets of pictures a day he would need to know exactly when it was sent. He found my email. Looked at the pictures and said, oh..you've ruined them! His exact words. I sat silently because this product is advertised to clean the toons! He informed me that many Benningtons have Sharkhide on them, this boat has obviously been left in the water for a very long time and neglected for way too long. I needed to decide what type of finish I wanted and how many hours I wanted to spend before proceeding. Im sick at my stomach. Ive paid a lot of money for this product to clean my pontoon, not ruin it ! It has not sat in the water for more than a long weekend. It was always removed after the weekend. So beware boat owners. I wouldnt recommend this product to anyone. You dont just spray it on and wash it off! If you want your $90K boat ruined, this will do it in a matter of minutes!
