What's the difference between TLR 8A and the TLR 8A G? besides the difference in price.

The TLR-8A offers a 640-660nm red laser to maximize visibility and long-range targeting capability, while the TLR-8A G features a 510-520nm "eye safe" green laser to improve users' ability to focus on targets during daylight hours.

Light bulb not working after 6 months. Can i buy a replacement bulb or do i have to buy another tlr8?

The green laser went out on mine after a little over a month. I could have returned it but Amazon did not have the same thing to replace it so I opted to ship it back to Streamlight for repair. They didn't actually repair the one I sent back but mailed me a new one which took about 10 days. I would call streamlight to see if the bulb replacement would be easier bit you can send it to them for repair.
