Review - Agile Power Practices Course
"Agile Project Management for Dummies" by Mark C. Layton is an excellent resource for anyone looking to dive into Agile methodologies. As someone new to Agile, I found the book incredibly helpful in demystifying the concepts and principles behind Agile project management. Layton's writing style is clear and engaging, making complex topics easy to understand without overwhelming technical jargon. One of the things I appreciated most about the book is its practical approach. Layton doesn't just explain Agile theory; he provides real-world examples, case studies, and practical tips that helped me see how Agile practices can be applied in various project scenarios. Whether it's learning about Scrum, Kanban, or XP, each methodology is explained in detail, along with their respective roles and responsibilities.Overall, "Agile Project Management for Dummies" has been instrumental in my journey to understanding and implementing Agile practices in my projects. It's a must-read for anyone looking to gain a solid foundation in Agile project management, whether you're new to the concept or seeking to enhance your existing knowledge.I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in Agile methodologies. It's practical, informative, and written in a way that makes learning Agile enjoyable and accessible.

Great Reference
Note: This was a required text for a class on Agile project management, and reviewing this book was part of the class.Overall, this was a great handbook Agile with a heavy focus on Scrum. Being a "for dummies" book made it concise, easy to read, and focused on the application for a partitioner. I will refer to this text after class as a handbook for the field and can see rereading to review in the future. My main criticism is the need for examples of using the methods in context. While individual points often have one example, more context is needed in the broader application. This lack may be due to the "for dummies" format. It reminds me of a programming book that teaches functions and how they work but does not explain how they go together. It makes the text more challenging to learn from on its own, making it a leaner reference.

Great Resource
I am currently taking a course on Agile and ‘Agile Project Management for Dummies’ is the book assigned for the course. I think the content is easy to read and understand. Topics are covered in multiple ways, leading to a better understanding. There are plenty of examples to show what is being described. I especially like the “Icons” used in the book to highlight specific points, topics, etc. For anyone looking at learning about Agile Project Management, I would highly recommend this resource.

A Great Deep Dive Into Agile
I am working towards my project management certificate and used this book for an Agile Power Practices class. I had heard about Agile but I didn't know a lot about it. I've worked on teams that said they were Agile but I had doubts that they truly were. This book provides a deep dive into Agile and helped me better understand Agile concepts. After reading the book, I will be able to immediately tell if a team has an Agile mindset and adheres to Agile principles.

The content in the Agile Project Management for Dummies book helped me understand the foundation and principals of Agile and gives me greater confidence to start to apply what I’ve learned into my daily work.I used this book in an intro to Agile course and found the book easy to read and understand, with relevant examples. Overall a great material to compliment an introduction to Agile.

New to Agile
I am a new student to Agile and I bought this book as a resource for my class. This was a great starting point as I have no previous history with agile in the past. The book made the key topics, such as the manifesto, easy to understand and reference later on. I will continue to reference this book as I grow in my career utilizing agile in future projects.
