Excellent set, now I need more.
Didn't even know this set existed until a month ago. I've always thought the ISS was really cool so when I stumbled across this set I immediately bought it. about 3 years ago I bought the Megabloks Starship Enterprise set which is an absolute Monster and took me a week to build, and this was the first set I had built since then.I spent about 1 and 1/2 hours on it an evening over a couple of days, the build is actually a lot easier than it looks, as you build dozens of little sub assemblies, 1 at a time, each one not being more than 5 or 6 steps. The set is broken up into numbered bags (6 of them), and the instructions clearly let you know when you've finished a bag and it's time to open up the next one, which further simplifies the building process and also cuts down on pieces laying around/hunting for parts. It's a fairly large set when done and fairly "spindley" (as is the real ISS), this is more a display piece than a toy for children, as many of the smaller modules and antenna/dishes are quite delicate and will come off easily. It does have movable solar arrays and a semi articulate Canada Arm, along with a docking collar that can dock a couple of the Micro scale spacecraft that are included (Space-X Dragon Capsule, Boeing Starliner, Nasa Space Shuttle. Technically there is a forth, The Russian Soyuz Capsule that is on the rear, docked as an emergency escape capsule). Every bit of decoration is printed on the pieces themselves so no stickers are required. Overall a great set and a quality looking piece. My only gripe, and it is minor, is the micro scale spacecraft included are too small in relation to the station itself. The included shuttle should be twice the size in order to scale properly with the station. Regardless, it still looks great and I'm glad to have it. My wallets not thrilled though because I just ordered the Saturn V set, the Lunar Lander set, and the Women of NASA set. Hopefully they will do another large scale shuttle soon because the price on the last one is now "out of this world" (dad joke).

The Second Model You Should Buy
BLUF: If you had the Saturn V rocket and loved it, 100% buy this next. If you don't, consider going for the Saturn V rocket first and then come back unless you want an easier build.Overall a fun build and a superb final product to accompany the Saturn V rocket. A short to medium build time (half a day or less) with detail being the goal instead of the number of pieces. As a space enthusiast, the International Space Station has always drawn my interest and this model proved to synergize with that interest. The final product is a perfect shelf filler/décor for a room and the solar panels being fully adjustable help it fit in where ever that may be.That being said, if you like challenging and satisfying builds along with space, I think you'll get more bang for your buck with the Saturn V rocket. That would be my only recommendation, otherwise I'm completely satisfied with the purchase and am looking at the full scale lunar module/hoping Lego continues bringing out space models!

Incredible set!
Fantastic LEGO set! Fun to build, only took a couple of hours. My 12 y/o son helped build it and it wasn’t difficult for him at all. The piece is long and the display stand is sturdy enough. It’s a little on the expensive side, but this is one of those sets that you build and never forget about it. 5/5 highly recommended for the space and LEGO enthusiast.

Expensive, but amazing.
The media could not be loaded. Lego is expensive but amazing. If the old adage you get what you pay for is true then Lego is a premium product. It's expensive, but in my entire life time I've probably only seen a handful of broken pieces. The international space station is part of their "adult" line. It's meant to be decorative rather than played with. The set comes with a solid stand for displaying. It takes about a foot and a half of space. So it's not small. The mobility of the arms and the solar panels means that you can put it on almost any surface and adjust it to be optimally viewed. If someone in your life is a fan of Lego but too old to play with it, this is a good set.

Awesome price for a very cool display.
Bought this at 69 dollars and dang was it worth it. It was kinda easy to build and could prob take 2 to 3 hours for someone used to building like me. I did this in my free time over a few days to draw out the fun. Definitely firm but can be fragile in some parts. If you put this on display like I did, I put it on a sturdy shelf where No one can bang onto it or have little hands touch it. Looks very cool finished. Some people say it's too fragile. It is somewhat but if you put it together right and don't put it in a high traffic area it will last. Glad I purchased it!
