Q: Can this be used to remove paint off wood or only metals?

It will gouge wood and may leave non-removable aluminum oxide dust in the grain. It is very course and cleans metal aggressively. It is not a wood-sanding product.

Q: Can this be used to grind smooth a new Lodge caste iron skillet ?

I don't think it is hard enough to effectively remove iron. Even on aluminum, it doesn't remove very much material, by design -- it's intended to take off the paint but leave the metal. I have successfully used an random orbit sander on cast iron pans, you just have to be careful that the sandpaper doesn't contain anything that will make you sick.

Q: Can this work with dremel rotory tool

Dremel's largest collet is 1/8", I believe. This requires 1/4" or larger.

Q: Does this disk come with the hardware (mandrel) to attach it to my drill?

Yes, most of these come the mandrel to attach to drill, unless you are buying refills. These work great and make the job EZ.
