I am a huge ODROID fan. C4 nice upgrade over C2
I am a huge ODROID fan and it is probably my favorite ARM board. I have an old ODROID C1+, (3) old ODROID C2s and now (2) ODROID C4s. I am very happy with my C4s. There are a few things to consider though. The C4 uses 12v 2A so you will need a different power supply. I purchased this power supply at the link below which has so far served me well not to mention it comes with a 4-way splitter so I can power multiple C4s off one brick.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DCPT1N7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Another thing to consider is the Hardkernel image for the ODROID C4. If you want a quick image file to just install on a mini chip and the sources and packages just cleanly update then don't go with the default Ubuntu Mate image from their site ran into problems. Hey! Don't blame ODROID and Hardkernel. This is a very new project so if you have ever used a computer before in your life then you know new projects often have bugs. The problem I found when installing the default downloaded ubuntu .img is it grabbed some standard Ubuntu repositories instead of those made for the ARM processor boards. This meant the dependencies didn't match as some versions wouldn't work on this little board. Hey! I have full faith ODROID will fix this in future image files. (Notice the date on this post and if you are reading it six months to a year later then I'm sure the Ubuntu Mate image will be fixed. (However... ;)So what is the solution you young (or new to) ARM processor board users might ask? I am pleased to introduce you to Armbian. The Armbian ODROID C4 image is just beautiful and I am very happy with it. Then again I am a big Armbian fan as I have Friendly PIs, Nano Neo 2s, Nano Neo2 Plus, Rock64s, ZeroPIs among others. I often prefer Armbian over the default builds on little ARM boards anyway.Sorry. i am rambling. Back to the ODROID C4. The ODROID C4 W I L L N O T fit in an ODROID C2 case due to the new power connector and slightly moved HDMI port. One of my C4s is now a primary desktop for me and I use Remmina to RDP to Microsoft Windows XP, 7 and 10 computers I have in a rack. The C4 is fast enough that I don't see any studder or delays while remote controlling any of the Microsoft Windows computers. It also keeps up with both DVD streams on video though a little choppy at times on the BluRay. (Probably not a fair judge as I just used VLC across a Samba mount on a linux machine to test. I'm sure actual video streaming solutions would handle BluRay streams fine on the C4). If you have been using an ODROID C2 and are thinking about upgrading the C4 is a nice update. If you have a couple Rasperry PIs laying around and want something with more power and speed then the ODROID C4 may be a good solution for you.(On a side note if you are new to ARM boards then Raspberry PIs are probably your best choice to break in as there is allot of support, forums, communities, and HATs/accessories with pre-made code. However when you are comfortable with RPIs, and linux then try an ODROID. The C4 is a very nice little machine!)

Power supply not included
Just got the package and noticed there was no power supply included despite the fact that the description said there would be.

A perfect Kodi board
I have Kodi media players on all of my TVs, and I have use a variety of boards to accomplish this. The ODROID-C4 seems to be the BEST board I have used so far for this task. I am using the Kodi load that is specifically done for this particular board. I have used the ODROID-C2 and various Raspberry Pi's as well. On my C2, I used the eMMC NVRAM. But on the C4, I used a a high quality but much cheaper Samsung PRO Endurance mSDXC (U1) 64G card. The speed with Kodi for this mSD card is perfectly acceptable. I also used a higher wattage power supply to MAKE SURE that there would never be a questionable power issue for this board. It works perfectly!! The only drawback I have with the ODROID boards is the lack of quality case. I ended up buying the cheapo plastic case from Ameridroid. I really wished that Flirc made a passive and actively cooled case for these boards.

So far, does everything a Pi4 could do. EMMC is more reliable too.
I love the odroid c2 and c4 computers. Have been using them for various projects:I'm using them for the following purposes:* Running HomeAssistant with zigbee/zwave radios* Running flight simulator instrument panel (search github) to drive cockpit displays on a separate monitor while I fly MSFS2020* Mounted on my telescope, managing all cameras, plate solving, navigation, and image upload (all open source KStars+INDI software). All on battery power. This is so much easier than running an AC extension cord and a laptop out to the

Received the device with no power cord. Seems okay otherwise
Based on this response by the seller in the Questions section:Question:"Is the AC adapter included?"Response:"Shaka Intekanational LLC includes the 12V 2A AC AdapterBy Shaka Intekanational LLC (Shak… SELLER on August 23, 2020"I thought there would be a power supply. There was not. knocking a star off for that. There were four other responses that said no. I shouldn't have to assume they are right over the seller. Please make your offereing accurate so I don't have to waste time looking for additonal accessories.

ANDROID AGAIN MEH
This is an unnecessarily pricey SBC that was designed to provide better Google Android operating system performance only. Do not fall for the Ubuntu or other Linux OS capabilities. The graphics under Linux and other OS's is abysmal. And next consider that the first thing they want you to do is get an eMMC for it. Why? because the Google Android will run faster. But don't consider that having eMMC will help Linux or other OS's in the graphics department. Only an Nvidia or Intel graphics chip can be accelerated in Linux.
