Xiaomi Mi 10 8GB/128GB Twilight Grey（UK VERSION）

Ok I've had this phone for 2 weeks and purchased it while on offer down from 699 to 500. I'm basing this review on comparison to previous devices I've owned from the OnePlus 7t right up to Samsung flagships.I have to say with absolute no hesitation this mi 10 is the best handset I've ever owned the UK version is outstanding. I like a bit of weight to a phone and as other manufacturers strive to make them lighter the mi 10 is 208g I don't find it to heavy its well balanced and the weight gives it a premium feel. The screen size is 6.67 inches which is nearing the S20 ultra. Colours are vibrant with a 99 Hz refresh rate. I have just done the new update and the super amoled wallpapers are outstanding. The always on display is a superb feature something the OnePlus 8 does not have. The battery is mega at 4750 mh and the fast charge is out of this world. Wireless and reverse charging also a bonus. This device is so much fun and fully customizable app drawer is now available and full gesture control is fantastic. To be honest you will spend a long time customizing this device to your taste which I think is great. The quad camera at 108mp is amazing and hands down beats my previous Huawei mate 20 pro. The punch hole selfie camera you hardly notice after a week or so. 4k video is stunning and the speakers are absolutely out of this world for a smartphone they are far superior to any phone I've ever heard currently available on the market it's hard to believe it's a smartphone. I really don't think any phone could really compete with build quality this phone feels so premium and elegant. I have also bought 3 cases via Amazon a leather flip case at 24.99 and it's superior quality also mofi case with fabric back and a spigen case all fit the phone perfectly. I can't fault this device and all I can say is don't believe the hype it's not true. The Chinese still make superior products and the mi 10 is testimony to that. I was so close to buying the OnePlus 8 pro but I am so glad I took the punt. Also there is a mi 10 ultra on the horizon so I would be eager to buy that as it looks stunning. Xioumi are renowned for building quality handsets using premium materials and it's true. They can keep the costs down of handsets because they don't have samsungs and apples aggressive marketing strategies that pretty much brain wash the public that their phones are superior both in functionality and quality, it's simply not true. With a Snapdragon 865 chipset , a 4750 mah battery ,6.67 amoled display with 90 Hz refresh rate,108 mp quad camera set up you simply can't go wrong

Great great phone with an amazing processor and amazing camera.Flagship from 2 years ago with specs that would happily sit with a flagship camera from today. I change my phone frequently and Ive had a fair few over the years including top Samsung's and iPhones. While this may not have 2022 looks and design it more than holds its own with the usability and the camera is absolutely amazing for both photos and video. 8k 24/30 with the option to record in log in 4k! Definitely a keeper for sure, won't be selling this.

I got this while it was down at £525, and to be honest I wouldn't pull the trigger at £700. But, having used it now for a couple weeks I don't know if you'd be wasting the extra money if you did. So let's see why.If you're familiar with Xiaomi you'll know they make great phones but things like speakers, vibrations and selfie quality varies from decent to poor. No longer. The vibrations are as clucky and precise as any device I've used, the speakers are very clear and well balanced, if a little quieter than anticipated but that may just be because they don't face you, and the selfie camera is fantastic.So the rest of the phone? Just as premium. I recently got updated to MIUI 12, and so I can no longer even say I dislike the software as it's absolutely beautiful and even has me no longer using Nova Launcher. The battery is EASILY a 24 hour off charge and 10 hours SOT. YouTube literally sips this even on mobile data. 5% used per hour, that's insane.The camera needs to be understood to get the best out of it. There's a very very narrow plane of focus, so usually for close ups I resort to the 2x crop in and stand further back (as seen in the cat pic) you still get the great bokeh effect naturally (I never use portrait mode now) but you retain the area you want sharp. The dynamic range is definitely admirable as it controls noise well and preserves good detail in direct sun. Low light is handled very well but I would say the night mode only really seems worth it to control highlights, as the extra detail in shadows isn't a whole lot, and sometimes there's this fluffy noise that creeps in.Really it's exactly what Xiaomi wanted. Sure the Pro would be nice in the UK, but certainly at this price, I have zero complaints. Even the macro sensor is pretty good if you actually know what macro lenses should be used for.Side note, charging is within 58 mins to 1 hr 10 depending if you leave the phone sat still or use it actively. And the case in the box is great, high quality, clear, grippy and provides a lip so to keep the camera lens off flat surfaces.If you see this below £600 buy it.

Amazing phone

Had my Mi10 for 2 months now, cant believe the difference from my LG G6, it's gone up a 100% in every department, no in depth review needed, just buy it now.

It's super quick, it has a gorgeous screen, the battery is the best in class, and it's essentially no different from the Mi 11. No complaints here... easily the best phone I have ever used. 😊
