Im using two to plumb an exterior waterheater. I get flow out of camper, but not back in to the sink. Do they work in both directions?

Yes, they can flow in both directions. I used them for an external water heater on my camper. Just remove the small plastic check valve with a screw driver (or similar). It's super easy and almost falls out on its own.

Can this be used for compressed air? Or can the guts be converted to accept a compressed air coupler?

It is air tight, but i would be worried about the max Pressure that an air compressor might put out. Our RV water systems run around 60 max and an air compressor is sometimes up to 175 psi.

What item is the optional hose and sprayer… can’t find the item that fits.

Could i use this to connect a hose to my outside tankless water heater?

That's how I'm using this, so I don't see why not. I bought a coiled hose to run from the Spray Port to the tankless heater when in use.
