Its a perfect bowl for the soap. It is plastic though. The brush is also good. Great for the value. Its nothing fancy but it works perfectly.

Very soft bristles, the stand is very lightweight. The bowl fits a bar of soap perfectly. Great value and easy to use.

As an introductory single-blade safety razor user, I didn't want to drop a ton of money on a badger hair brush and bowl set... so I didn't. However, for a first-time fancy-shaver, this is pretty good.The brush itself is quite nice. The bristles feel premium and lather/spread shaving cream well. the whole brush has a surprisingly decent heft, despite the cheap plastic handle. In fact, the plastic handle might be good for anyone who isn't overly passionate about a good shave, since you don't have to worry about cracking due to moisture.The whole contraption feels cheap, but you should already know this from the pictures. The plastic stand isn't very heavy (thus not super stable), and the lathering bowl is quite small. A small price upgrade to stainless steel (and larger bowl size) might make you happier overall.As for me, I've learned that normal shaving cream, lathered and distributed by hand, has been more than sufficient for my daily shaving needs. Brush gets used only on special occasions, and remains under the sink due to the unaesthetic appearance of the stand.

The bristles on the brush are stiff enough to be sharp on my face. Thought the bowl and the holder was going to be metal, like aluminum, but is plastic. Guess both are expected with the low price.

The bowl is really small, the bristles to the brush fall out every time and I dropped the brush once and it cracked and broke.
