It’s OXO quality! The blade is extremely sharp so remember to keep it locked when not in use! I’m so glad it has that option. Assembly was a breeze, it took no effort at all. I love that it has three thickness levels. I can make my very thin apple slices for my apple roses, medium or thick slices for potato, carrots, celery, onions, etc for casserole or scalloped potatoes. It’s very versatile, easy to clean, extremely sharp, and can be used for an endless possibility of things to make a variety of delicious meals or desserts. It’s not just a mandolin, it’s an OXO brand Mandolin.

I love this mandolin! It cuts so quickly and is very sharp. It works great, easy to use and the quality of OXO is unbeatable! You can do 3 different thicknesses.

Oxo is great and usually I have no complaints about anything they make but this one isn’t my first love. I still think it’s worth getting though.PROS: compact size and sure grip and bowl notch make it perfect for small veggies and the adjustable thickness feature allows for some control over thickness of your slices that you don’t get on a fixed platform.The clear plastic bit that adjusts the thickness comes all the way up to the level of the blade when locked so with that and the grip tool firmly clicked into place it’s nearly impossible to cut yourself reaching for it.CONS: the small size makes it really difficult to cut potatoes or other larger format veggies. You can do it but it isn’t going to be as even or pretty as a larger mandoline.The adjustable clear ramp doesn’t lock in it’s respective levels so it can flop around a little causing uneven slices from time to time.It isn’t as easy to clean and dry as some larger mandolines I’ve used (swiss borner being my favorite personally) but that’s a matter of efficiency to me but does make me worry about hygiene a little.It’s a good 8/10 for a small hand held mandoline and certainly worth getting. I have not found myself using the adjustment feature often because the “thickest” slice is actually pretty thin so if you wanted really delicate slices on veggies this might actually be a bonus for you since it can go even thinner.

This is hands down the best uncomplicated slicer that works great with repeated use and repeated dishwasher use.Its very durable. The blade remains sharp. I use the cover when getting vegetable half way down to the blade, it works like a charm and when done the cover goes right over the blade area when storing so I don't fear getting cut.It's simple which I love, didn't need special types of slices with all the attachments, just simply slicing and it offers several different thicknesses. You can even go under the #1 position to get really thin slices. I do this to make potato chips in the microwave!It's a breeze to clean, just put in dishwasher. Love it!

This mandolin is my solution to then perfect slicer.Design is well thought out and maneuverable while cooking.Blade can be adjusted to different heights and is super sharp.Wash and easily stored.Tested the unit on shallots, with paper thin circles and no chopping. Perfect!I prefer a one function type of mandolin. Built well and definitely will last.Highly Recommend.

Great little mandolin that is easy to use and has a sharp blade. This makes meal prepping so easy and quick. OXO is a great brand and I would recommend this to anyone in the kitchen.

This replaces a larger and bulkier mandolin that had become dull, it’s the dull ones that are dangerous. I first used it a couple of days ago and I am impressed so far. It’s easy to store, easy to handle and the blade is super sharp. I used it to slice potatoes and it worked beautifully.I like how I can lay it over the top of a bowl so the veggies can drop into it. There are spaces cut out of the bottom that go over the edge of the bowl to help keep the slicer in place. The piece that grips the veggie and allows you to protect your hand is a must to use. It is easy to use and feels comfortable in my hand. The handle is designed well also, it too, is comfortable to hold.This is not nearly as heavy as the cumbersome slicer it replaced and I am very happy about that. It’s a very simple design that works really well.

This inexpensive mandoline slicer is goid quality for the price. Works well, the 3 slice widths were suitable for my needs. The comfort grip handle prevents slipping. I believe it would be useful for people with arthritis or hand issues. Cleans easily. Cons: it's rather small compared to standard mandoline slicers, narrow. The slicing area is maybe 3" wide, 7.5cm. Medium onion max. Good for compact kitchens, storing in a drawer or RV use. The same design, wider, would earn 5 stars, for the price-point.
