Works as advertised. Worked well for my 6” in wide drain on the patio that kept getting clogged by leaves.

Strainer clogs up quickly with small leave, grass, and anything else that gets by the big part. Keeps big debris out just fine.

So far so good. The one exception is the pin goes into the middle of the drain, our holes are around the perimeter.I guess I could drill a whole in the middle of the plastic top, or by a different one, but it seems fine without it.

Had water intrusion into the basement under the doors because area way drain clogged with debris. Cleaned things up and installed this drain cover. After install, with continued frequent heavy rain this year, the area way consistently drains properly - no more concerns with debris clogging, water intrusion or standing water. Low profile keeps tripping hazard to a minimum. Easy to remove/reset if needed.

Finally found something that stopped my drain from clogging up and flooding my walkway after a very heavy Florida summer downpour. It didn't stop everything, but what got through didn't clog the center of the drain. You'll need to clean it out on a regular basis, but it's worth it.

Worth every penny. Creates a more consistent flow of water down the drain. Doesn’t clog. I left it for 5 months, and it caught lots of small debris but still allowed drainage.

I put this in the well leading to our basement from the outside where we often have standing water during rain storms due to debris and leaves accumulating over the grate. This is a plastic cover that just sits over the grate and lets the water drain because it would require a lot of leaf accumulation to cover this. The installation is simply to put the pin in the middle to hold the top and bottom together and then put it over the grate. The build design and quality are excellent.
