Larabar Cherry Pie, Gluten Free Vegan Fruit & Nut Bars, 1.7 oz bars, 8 ct

So, I had a nutritionist/certified medical weight loss specialist suggest Larabars to me like a year ago, due to their lack of refined sugars, lower overall sugar content, high fiber, and all natural ingredients. I finally decided to try them as a meal replacement (3 full meals, 3 snack meals - the Larabars are snack meals)...Um... YES. A food bar that DOESN'T make me feel sick (granola bars don't get along with my stomach), Tastes AMAZING, fills me up just enough to make it the next couple of hours, gives me slow burn energy.... I can't get enough of these.I'm not some health nut either... I'm a 365 (was 374!!!) pound fattie who loves his chocolate cake, deep fried food, pizza, ice cream, snickers bars, etc...These are probably one of the best things I have ever found, because I can eat healthily, AND FEEL LIKE I AM EATING CANDY!!!!Just do it. They taste incredible.The bars I've tried so far:Lemon: 5/5 stars. Amazing. Tastes like lemon cake.Cherry pie: 5/5 stars. I try not to sing "She's my Cherry Pie!" every time.Apple pie: 3/5 stars. Tastes good, but feels a bit dry and chewyChocolate peanut butter: 4/5 stars. Good flavor. A bit unusual, but what do you expect when using fruit based ingredients to taste like peanut butter chocolate chip cookies? Still tastes great, just not quite my favorite.I'll update as I try more flavors, and oh yes, I will be trying more flavors.Great job Lara. I'm hoping this is one of the things that helps save my life.Update:Coconut cream pie: 6/5 stars. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? THIS IS AMAZING!!! It tastes like a mounds bar without chocolate! Add a small amount of chocolate chips... YUM.Banana bread: 5/5. Yup. Tastes like banana bread.Carrot cake: 4/5. Pretty dang good. Not quite as moist as the real thing, but hey, I'm changing my lifestyle, It will do just fine for all my non cheat days.As an addendum, I've tried various "diet" bars, protein bars, "health food" bars, etc... and none compare to these. These are delicious. These are food. These are not full of weird flavors from sketchy chemicals... they are just dang. good. food. These actually satiate hunger, and FEEL good after eating. No indigestion, no stomach issues, nothing. I am so glad I found them, may they never change their way, and cheapen up their ingredients.

We frequently make a 2 hour or so flight to visit family in another state and like to have some kind of reasonably healthy snack along so we don't end up buying expensive food in the airports or getting too hungry before we make our destination. We like the Lara bars with their simple minimal ingredient list and good flavors, so when we didn't find them on sale at our local store I checked on Amazon and discovered one of our favorites at a great price, so ordered them and they are as fresh and tasty as any in a local store, very happy with this purchase.

I was very surprised by the EXTREMELY fast shipping for such a good price! These bars are amazing! It was a seamless process. I love when I can just click a button and everything gets taken care of stress free. No issues whatsoever, packaging was perfect and neat as well. Found my new addiction!

These bars are great in flavor, fast absorption for quick energy boost and excellent in general texture and taste.I've ordered Larabars including this flavor before at Amazon and received fresh stock with about a 10-12 month expiration window for all orders.My order for these arrived 1/10/25 and I found all 4 boxes had an expiration date of June 2025. 5 months left and clearly this is old(er) stock.So 5 stars for these if you get a fresh box, but, be aware if there's a price drop on these, it might be to move them off the shelves due to being older stock.I've emailed Customer Service to request a refund and was delighted that they replied and honored my request. I just can't believe all the good reviews of these, and neither should you. Before buying a whole box of these like I did, you should be aware of what these are. They are small, granola type bars, but oh my, this has to be a joke. The very first bite I had from the very first bar, told me there was something wrong here. Hey, everyone's taste is different, but here's what I think. The flavor is almost non-existent. Very little flavor, and what there is, hardly resembles cherry pie. Tastes more like a cheap, bad fruitcake. Now for the worst thing, the texture. What these actually make me think of, and pardon my language, is if someone filled their mouth up with a big slice of real cherry pie, chewed it up a lot, then spit it out and used their hands to form that into a bar. I know how gross that sounds, but that's exactly what these are to me. Pre-chewed. They should actually put that on the label. In my family, pretty much growing up poor as dirt, we were always taught to finish everything put on our plate. That ethic stuck in my head into adulthood and though these are truly awful, I'll finish them. Maybe mix it with some candy or a cookie. But I truly am shocked at how bad these things are. I see that this company has other flavors, but fool me once. I feel I completely wasted my money, and these are not cheap. This one's a puzzler for sure. They were not stale or anything, they were just basically pretty much flavorless, with a consistency of something not of this earth. I've ordered lots of different food items from Amazon, but these are by far, the worst supposedly "good" item I've ever bought. I have no idea why these would get such praising reviews, but my advice is, try to find one of these bars sold as a single unit in a store if you can, before splurging on a whole box. These would be great if I were stranded on an island with basically nothing else to eat, but wow, from my perspective, even that's stretching it. Would probably try to use pieces of these and use them on a hook to try to catch some fish to eat. Buyer beware though, because I reckon even the fish wouldn't eat these tasteless monstrosities.
