I used this for both bleach application and color application. When I received the product, I opened it immediately. While I was inspecting the product, two whole bundles of brush bristles fell out. It was probably an adhesive issue. Shedding stopped, and I was able to use the product as intended afterward.Do not buy this thinking you are getting salon-quality products; these are what I would consider to be the Dollar Tree version of actual good-quality hair coloring tools. The dual-sided brush was too flimsy to actually use the comb for anything beyond scratching my scalp while the bleach processed. All included items had sharp shards of plastic from the mold-filling process, which were very easily removed using cuticle nippers and a nail file.It arrived on time, and was useful for the purpose intended. I would go with another alternative if time permits, next time.

While at home during this American Chaotic Evil President's dereliction of duties (yes, I quietly said it), I decided to do my colored hair myself. We used SPLAT which I've since heard can be bad for the hair and neither I nor my husband applied it very well, leaving patches of silver that wasn't bleached enough. No biggie... no one sees me anyway. I went blue to Raspberry and hubby applied it. Yeah, more missed patches than I saw at first. SOOOooo... I got thus for the next hime. No idea how these har plastic ear covers work as they are too small for my ears and my ears aren't huge. We will use the bowl and brushes next time. Don't see how it could not work but I'll update then.

If you actually want to use the brush for your hair, buy a better one. This coloring brush is really flimsy and the bristles are cheap. It got the job done but I won’t ever use it again. If you dye your hair regularly, get better quality stuff!

This is such a great little kit for the money! I bought a color depositing hair conditioner for the first time ever (pink), and after watching videos online it looked like a brush would be the best way to apply it. I'm a total newbie and had no idea what I was doing. This kit made it a piece of cake, with my husband's help! Even he said the brushes were easy to use. It was easy to clean up afterwards. It even comes with little covers for your ears so you don't get color on them. It's quite sturdy for being as affordable as it is. It is definitely worth getting for the beginner / newbie!

I have short men's hair so it works just fine for me. I'm surprised that the ear coverings actually work really well and don't fall off.So far i used it twice. Before careful when cleaning the bowl, I blasted it with water the the dye shot everywhere! Clean everything is a slow drip so that the dye doesn't get every where. I hope that helps some of you.
