Fantastic product at a great price!
Sure, there were 'less expensive' kits available, but those sets are more likely to burst apart, or to cause you other problems due to their construction and structure. The hips on this set are shaped to prevent the tubes from "blowing out" and to assure that there is no 'leakage' where the hips meet the filler machine (under the screw on cap). The ones with the rounded bowed-out hips are not good because structurally, they allow the pressure from the meat to build up which will cause problems. The hips on these redistribute the meat so that there is no build up of pressure and the product works perfectly as is expected. These are thicker than I thought they would be for this price. I was very pleased with the thickness because this will ensure that I can use these for years to come without them splitting. Although, they appear to have been molded in two pieces. The tubes, and the hips being welded together after manufacturing them. Welding was apparent on the largest and the smallest (there is a line around each where they are welded together-you can view this in the main photo for this product on the largest tube shown), but you could not tell that the medium sized tube was welded as there was no line at all. This construction makes for a stronger tube that has undergone less stress during the manufacturing process.Edges were clean and not sharp enough to cut the hand that is using, or cleaning them. They are metal edges, so you still have to be safety minded when using and cleaning them. The plastic retainer ring...I really wish that was metal...the job of that ring is to ensure that the meat is redistributed so that it flows equally without damaging the machine or your casings. So, plastic works fine, I just wish it were metal so it would last better over time.Overall, I would highly recommend this particular product.

Works great messy cleanup
Fit in my kitchen aid stand mixer sausage attachment great! Was wasy to assemble. The plastic piece that comes with it is in place of the cutting blades. The plastic piece holds the auger in place when you're just stuffing sausage.Great purchase for they money. Worked great, you can see my sausage in the pics. I'm using cellulose casings from Cabellas. My only complaint about the whole operation(not the product) was that there was a lot of sausage left over around the auger and into the tube. I had to use the next smallest tube with a paper towel to push the rest of the sausage down. Not the fault of the manufacturer, it's just the way the KitchenAid machine is designed.Cleanup was a bit messy, for the entire operation, but you're making sausage. Cleanup for the tubes was easy.Several reviews have complained of rust, but I plan on putting a good coat of oil on the tubes before I put them up to prevent any rust.I've also heard complaints about the seam between the horn and the tube. I guess bacteria can get stuck in there if you don't wash them with soap and water. It was not a problem for me.I did need to wash the tubes before I use them because there was naturally some machine oil on them. I would expect that with any machined part.Overall it was a great product and it did exactly what it said it was going to do.

Thin and cheap but does the job
This metal is just thin enough to hold its shape. It is not high quality stainless steel, it has ruff edges, and ridges in the metal where it was stretched to a flair but.. it works and like they always say, "you get what you pay for".I gave it 4 stars not for quality but for value. They will not last a lifetime but they work.

Satisfied customer
Well made and works, I had to modify the spacer to fit (kitchenaid) but not worth dropping a star over. Satisfied with the purchase.

Works well
The three sizes are good. I needed the large, however I have used for the other sizes

Works well
I like it and I just bought some dowels to push out the meat at the end. A 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4". I usually use the medium sized with hog casings for kielbasa sized sausage.

Good replacement
I recently purchased the sausage stuffer nozzle as a replacement for my old, worn-out nozzle and I am thoroughly impressed. It fits perfectly onto my stuffer and allows me to make perfectly shaped sausages with ease. The material is durable and easy to clean, and the nozzle size is perfect for my needs.
