FlukeCXT1000 Rugged Hard Case with DIY Foam Insert

This is great, easy tear out foam and plenty of room for you tools that needs to stay dry.

Awesome case to keep your meters safe. Little pricey, but worth it. But Fluke's redemption process for free tools is an absolute joke. So if a free tool is the only reason to purchase a Fluke meter, DONT DO IT!

I always carry my prized 289 and 378FC together in a tote, but carrying them together in the same case is somehow easier.I must acknowledge what a 1-star reviewer said about the foam: there are two layers for your tools, with a third thin layer to separate those. Like the other guy said, you can't just pick up the top layer since it's not bonded in any way to the separating layer, as everything will just spill all over (see third photo).To get to the bottom layer, you basically have to remove everything from the top layer and pull the foam out. Kind of an inconvenience, especially if you put a lot of things up top -- definitely don't cut a pocket for all your leads and clips up top. Fluke should have included a rigid separator of some kind to make this easier.I suppose one thing we could do is use some type of foam adhesive to bond the customized layer to the thinner bottom layer. I'm going to find a sheet of PVC or ABS or something to somehow make a tray that will make it easier to lift the top layer out and keep things steady.So, I don't think the 1-star rating was fair, because this is otherwise a VERY nice case. Even though it was expensive, and I'm going to have to put in a little work to make it "right", I'm happy to have it.

I use this case for my Fluke 87 & 88 meters and a array of accessories.

The foam insert sucks, it's4 pieces of foam and when you go to get your bottom meters, everything else falls through the bottom! At this price save money and go get a pelican!!!!!!!
